Wouldn't that be awesome!! Every time you died and dropped down to 59 you couldn't go back into inferno right away!
even if in D2 you did loose exp when you died, you couldn't level down so your argument is invalid.
Even so, the glorified view people have of d2 seems to be an inhibition at times. Its really not that good anymore.
when did I said : ''omfgd2wasperfectd3iscrapholypinatabazooka''? IMO D3 is as good if not even a little better than D2, due to multiple things they fixed, like instant portal out to safety, potions spamming etc, now it takes skill to survive, BUT IMO D2 had way better deaths (in the sense that it did feel painful to die and death meant something) and wasn't a copy/paste of WoW's death... because take wow's death, remove the angels and you have D3's death...
by 4 times? seriously? I have trouble accumulating more than 20 30k money, and repairing is gonna cost like 16k MINIMUM now 24k if they up that by 6 times, (and my gear is not very good yet), how the heck will I be able to afford anything other than repairs now?
What? I literally just killed the warden and butcher in about 15 minutes because I'm bored, and got about 70k worth of gold.

Ha, another thread, and another post where you attempt to bash D2. Were you just very bad at it or what? Did you not play it when it came out and you chose WoW over it, so you have some resentment toward it? Really need to let it go buddy, Diablo 2 was amazing, even to this day. If the economy wasn't strangled by its sack by JSP, and Blizzard gave a shit and removed hacks, id play it over D3 all day.

sorry for my noob question but what's JSP? I played mostly SP so if it has somethign to do about MP that's why I don't know about it...
and for the AH everything costs millions, I've tried selling things, nothing sells and I can't get more thant 30-40 before it's spent on gem combining/leveling jeweler/blacksmith/potions/repairs etc...
Why are you investing in these gold sinks when you claim you cant even farm effectively, JC and Blacksmithing (Blacksmithing more so) are massive gold sinks same with combining gems. you should forget your professions and start buying gear
The cost for 1 level of blacksmithing at the top end should be enough to get you set up for early inferno. It seems to me you dont have money for gear because your too busy spending it on things that wont help you get into farming inferno.
As for everything costing millions, I regularly put decent act 1 gear on the Ah for 20k and is doesn't even sell. stop looking at the top end gear and use the filters to look for reasonable price upgrades.

Higher repair cost is a great change.
Death penalties in the game is currently way too weak, making suicidal glass cannon specs much more viable than they should be.
Would be nice if Nephalem Valor was lost on death as well.

Say what? D2's death was much more like WoW's death, you had to find your corpse (in WoW you could res at the spirit healer but that basically put you out of action for 10 minutes). The fact you don't in D3 is quite a big change from both.

Not a newb question so don't worry man ha. JSP is short for D2JSP which is a website that took hold of the multiplayer economy of Diablo 2 and sucked the life out of a large part of the game for the "convinence" much like the AH has in Diablo 3.

let's see :
WoW death: you died, you have a cooldown before rez, have durability lost and you reappear in ghost at the start of the dungeon/area were you need to find your way back to a certain radius around where you died, the possibility for someone to cast a rez on you. And in WoW when you did dungeons, just entering it revives you.
D2 death: you lost money, exp and you were expelled back to town, where you promptly took the TP you put somewhere close and take your corpse back
D3 death: you have a cooldown before rez, have durability lost and you reappear at the start of the dungeon and you need to return to where you were (being alive or dead dosen't have much difference you still need to go back there, ) the possibility for someone to cast a res on you
similarities between WoW and D2 death:
going back where you where
similrities between WoW and D3 death:
Cooldown on res, durability lost, reappearing at the start of the dungeon and going back to where you were, the possibility for someone to cast a res on you.
yeah you're right D2 death is exactly the same thing as WoW death, and D3 and WoW deaths are so not the same thing...

Some things are still better in D2. How is mentioning that glorifying it ?
And yeah I hear you, D2 deaths had a good system, wouldn't mind that either.
I have to wonder. What benefits would you see from the old D2 death compared to D3's? losing exp isn't a big deal since leveling in this game is so easy not to mention you can't delvl in D2's system. However, you could lose an insane amount of gold everytime you died in the old system. Imagine instead of getting 10k repair bill because you died a bunch of times, you lost like 1mil everytime you died because it's based off a percentage of your total money. The only reason most of you probably don't remember that is because gold meant nothing in D2 we used items to barter and you could pick up so much gold while running around that repair bills and the gold loss from a death meant nothing. But yeah okay let's get D2's death system back so all you people with 100mil+ can lose 10mil everytime you die. sounds good to me.

Go back to easy content before you run out of gold. Alternatively, you could farm the gold with one of your other chars. I actually like how blizzard is making repairs more expensive. Deaths need to be punished harder, much harder.
