I don't have a thread here in the barb section that's active so thought I'll create this thread to share some of the things I've been testing on PTR and a place to discuss like over in the Crusader Forum.
This is a very big patch for the barbarian since Perm Berserker was removed and ROS came out.
Have been spending a lot of time enjoying the PTR and the new changes.
Here's everything I've tested thus far and links to the highlights of the stuff I tested.
The funniest thing on your stream yesterday was how you did GR60-65 SPEED RUNS to upgrade keys. So unreal.
I'm kind of reminded of the insanely overpowered DH in November 2014 on the 2.1.2 PTR. I'm pretty sure the barb will get nerfed before this patch goes live; but even if the DPS is reduced by 80% they'd still deal more damage than any other class... sick.
Not surprised that the key problem (trials...) ended your progression yesterday, it's a major problem in 2.1.2 and it's even going to get worse in 2.2 - I really hope they talk about this in the Tavern Talk and do not postpone this until 2.3.

Sure there may be a nerf in store for barbs just like what happened to crusaders and rolands. My estimate is the nerf on Roland bracer and change to F+R droped Crus about 6 levels of Grifts from what they could do first patch of ptr.
However, Rolands actually works now so it's still a huge improvement and considering the same for IK set. No one used this set so anything is a big improvement over the current live servers.
I sound like a broken record but I've been saying trials is the most cancerous thing to be introduced to this game and a completely broken concept.
The fact that it may be more efficient to make a lower level key and then try and speed clear that into the lvl of key we need just comes to show how retarded the system is and how over time it's just gonna get worse and worse.
The first 50 waves of trials is pretty much pointless after 100 hours of gameplay now
