It's gone through so many changes. Right now it's the best it's ever been, but I know there is still a lot left for potential since I see people pushing a lot higher grifts than I am capable of (I havent even broken past 40 yet, not reliably at least). I know having all ancient items makes a difference, but that cant be the only reason. Should I ditch the IK stuff and try to find the BK weapons? I have one of the two right now.
dont feel bad, i havent broken grift 40 but i know i can, and no you dont need a a lot of ancients to pass 40. what you have is more then enough. A bit of a challenge but its enough. What you probably have to change it play style. Just learn the need to know things to keep you alive and discipline your self enough to make the push.
oh here is some good advice, get your hands on a good xephirian amulet or Mara's Kaleidoscope. There is a lot of bad situations were lighting or poison are going to be the bane of your existence given the right situation. Taking away one of those banes would be a wise idea.
You can maintain full uptime of WoTB, CotA, and ignore pain, using 6 piece WotW set with OROTZ and COV rings, and BK weapons Could swap out COV for unity for solo, although I would not recommend it. Really need to figure what gear pieces you want cdr on and what gear pieces you will have ias on to hit the 3.001 dd breakpoint, and enough cdr to maintain your big 3 buffs.
Just google search OROTZ barb, and you'll find what you need to know.
My barb is a decently geared ORTOZ barb, here it is so you have a decent idea for gearing
I use COta ancients fury for fury gen only for Rift guardian, I found that in group play for speed 50's the wd's bbv make me drain fury really fast, the COTA keeps it at 100%. You could switch it out for together as one for the 50% dmg reduction, I do for 57+. Also if using COTa you can switch out weapons master paasive for something else you prefer, most common is ruthless.
Hope that helps
pretty sure that OROTZ barb is top build for season 3. On season 4 in the ptr a ORTOZ BK barb and WOTW/IK barb are pretty much even due to cube. Last I checked the ORTOZ barb was GR 71 cleared and IK/WASTES in 2nd with 69. But for season 3 stick to ORTOZ IMO.
I had 5Waste/3Ik and just found the restraint ring, so I swapped it out. I was running Skull Grasp with RoRG. I have a bunch of Unity rings in the stash, but none are strength, all dex or int unfortunately. Also, I forgot to mention Im strictly solo play, well sometimes play 2 player with the wife, but her DH is fairly weak, so no high pushes there, thats just for fun. Ive also been searching for a decent Maras, again have one with Int. on it, but not strength.
I guess im kind of holding off until the next patch so I can break down either the Maras or Unity to help with damage mitigation. Just seemed kind of off that I am only doing high 30s when I read people on here doing 40s with pretty much the same setup. I will try to reroll some of the life stuff into damage and see if that helps until I can find the damage mitigation I need.
dude, did you even read OP's Post. Non of his characters are in seasons. How the F*** do you think he'll use a zodiac ring when it wont ever drop till S3 ends. I literally stated it in my post.
F+R for non seasons and CoE+zodiac for seasons.
Your post is insulting OP's and my post.
I would have to ask you if you actually read the post.Nowhere does it say non season.Only by clicking his profile will you see that it is non season. So with previous person just reading post and not clicking profile,he would have no idea.
Again, always thankful for the advise. I did grab a STR based Unity and matched with RoRG and swapped to a Maras instead of the squirts. It has the worst rolls ever, but I threw it on anyway. First time out, ran through grift 42 with 11 minutes left over, much better than my previous high of 40 with a minute left. Survivability increased dramatically, especially since I didnt die once in that entire run until the RG, and even then only died once during that fight due to a lack of concentration and an encounter with an arcane turret. Previously, I would die often and tried to rely solely on the speed of killing mobs faster than they could kill me. My overall sheet damage went from 1.1mil to 850k, but I cleared two levels higher easily. I am also able to hit WotB quite often. It's not permazerk, but it's up more than it's down. Depending on mob density and how often I can spam Rend, I can keep it up for two or three cycles without any down time and still not run into wrath problems.
Thanks again guys, I know it's coming along slowly but surely. It's now right on par with my M6 DH, which makes me happy.
