So I was looking at the new blacksmith page and I noticed that you can make items that increase spirit regeneration. But how does this work? My understanding is that spirit doesn't regenerate, we hit mobs and it builds up. So would the increased spirit regeneration attribute mean that we generate more spirit with each hit?

I r confuse.
Theres 2 ways this can work, it could be spirit per second, or it could increase with combo attacks. So rather then get 6 spirit per hit you get 8 or something.
Could you list an example ? I will be able to help more with an example.
I just took a look at the items. it seems Dokuganryu was right. With gear it will make spirit able to regenerate over time. How ever it would not shock me if they made something for both. However that part is just a guess.
The first recipe for the blacksmith is the apprentice glass star. One of its properties states "increases spirit regeneration by 0.17 per second (monk only)".
I could have sworn there was one that increased the spirit of the generators, could have been just a rune. I take it your confusions all straitened out ?

The only one's I've seen increase spirit regeneration per second. So that should not be based on attacks, it should be on time. Let me know if this is the affix you're asking about:
In one sense :P. Now I'm confused as to why they would put this in the game!
It would give a monk more spirit. Its such a low number because its so early in the game. in later gameplay i can see people getting like 3 spirit a second. It dose not seem like that much but over time and the fact that someone could be using combos with it means a TUN of spirit

Exactly! It would actually go good with a build I put together because it is all about
burst damage (which would drain my 200 spirit to almost 0) so having 3 spirit/sec
would be a great deal of help plus my generator.

Just thinking outside the box but what if you added transcendence into that build so your so your spirit spending can cover some defence and heal you.

I actually thought about that. Which is why I have lots of damage reduction.
Only thing is I spend my spirit before (most likely) I need any healing so that
is why I threw in the heal.

True , I wonder what could be in that space if you removed breath of heaven. Theres good merit to keeping things how you have them.

btw sorry we kind of hijacked your topic but I do hope you got the answers you were looking for =]
I don't intend on having spirit regen as apart of my build on my monk, but it would be nice to have a little bit, just incase i go afk a bit i can come back with a full orb of spirit

Not add to what we generate from attacks.
Could be wrong but that is how I took it.
It is regeneration and isn't just tacked on to our
spirit generators.
Example 1: Mystic
Example 2: Blacksmith
Notice how it says per second! This is why it is such a low amount also.
Edit: Argh beat me Dokuganryu
Glass Star
Can be added by the Mystic too:
2 hand
1 hand
Edit: Pretty slow on my part. That's what I get for going to get more coffee...

Haha. No worries! All over it now. Not sure if I'm a massive fan of adding regen like this to the the monk.
