One thing i hate about pets is that you have poor control over them. This could be solved easily and would improve pet management. Here is my idea:
When your pets are summoned and your ability is on cd, holding the same key that was used to summon them would taunt them towards you. I think that this would be nice since it would allow more control over your pets. Ideas, opinions, suggestions?
Terrible idea.
There are a lot of ways to do it urs is imo atleast one of the worst ways. If blizzard wanted you to have pet controle it would be kinda easy with a shift or ctrl + click function but generaly in diablo I don't think it fits considering ur controling a champion summoning minions to help you not minions that you can controle with ur thoughts or stuff like that.
It could be added considering that they are changing diablo but to me minions have mostly been something u summon then let wreck havok while you do other things.
I don't see how it's the worst way... I guess you just don't understand how kiting works. And sorry, i don't understand the "newb" language

I think it's enough to run away and pets are gonna follow you, abandonning the battle. But I haven't played beta. I agree it's not the same but I don't think Blizzard is gonna implement pet control in any other way.
This said, I would like to see some skills allowing you to enchant your pets to deal more damage for 15 sec. or so... But I don't think this is going to happen as well. They are mainly decoys as Blizzard said.
If you think it's enough to just have your pets follow you when you leave battle:
1. You don't get the idea cause you have no clue
2. You think that it would be imba and that pets are already good as they are
Basically, i think it is lame to have yourself quit battle to prevent your pets from dying.
Lol nice insult there. Let me put it in a way where I don't try to talk about lore or general diablo gameplay since I don't give a shit about lore.
There are so many fucking ways that you can add pet controle one of them is the classic shift (or ctrl) + clicking which is basicly the same concept just gives you more controle. If you want some controle there is no logical reason you shouldn't have full controle. The point I was trying to make though is that pet controle is never something that was part of diablo gameplay and just because there aren't 20+ minions in this game it doesn't mean you should have full controle.
And sry I said worst way I meant it's a rediculessly flawed and look like you just don't thought it through before comming up with what is just a quick fix that doesn't fix anything. So if you want to suggest something like this and actually argue for it atleast think it through
Dude... You tell me that my idea is terrible and that it is the worst way to fix it. Then you say that it could be done with shift+clicking.
Now, for the benefit of everyone, please explain how i am suppose to control my pets using shift+clicking.
Now that you look even newber than before, for your own sake, please don't write something if you don't have a fucking clue.
Now, i really like to debate with people and with due respect. But i got my limits and you definitely went beyond. You have no common sense and you give me headhaches.
A hotkey to call pets back to you would add a lot to the game and make pet classes more fun.
For example, in the beta you could call your zombie dogs back to you when the Skeleton King is about to do his Whirlwind attack.
its realistic. he summons mindless ZOMBIE dogs (or zombie giant) that just rush anything and everything without thinking. hes not summoning intelligent beings by any means or is there any implication he has some sort of psychic link to them. (and no a damage link isnt a psychic mind control link)

Lol at heat in this thread. Human Torch: "Flame ON"
Playing the beta, the pets and followers seemed ok, (dogs did die easily if they took the SK on from the front, but hey, just re-summon them)
I cant see how this would improve things, it would just add another thing to worry about when fighting. It felt that the pets aren't really strong enough to be the main force of your attack, even in a summon build.
One of the things i liked about summoning classes in D2 and 3 is that you summon them, then they are chaotic forces of destruction wreaking havoc and mayhem. Making them controllable would be a drag.
