The creature lept into the air. Sir Karl raised his sword his hands were steady his form, was perfect.
"Too slow monster" he said as he impaled the creature.
Due to the sheer wieght of th animal it collapsed on top of the old man but Heinrich was able to summon enough strength to shift the body of the creature and rescue his mentor.
"I zank you Heinrich, now let us aid ze ozers" Sir Karl.
"Yes." replied Heinrich. "In ze name of Sigmar Heldenhammer let our foes be vanquished"
"Spoken like a true knight of the order, HA HA" Sir Karl laughed."
"When the two of you are done playing with that corpse we have monsters to fight!" Baeithra yelled.

After receiving the swipe to the hind, the wolf was not impressed by Winston, so he turned and tried rushing Winston again. So Winston tried the same tactic, but the wolf was expecting it, so he managed to turn and jump on Winston. Luckily, Winston's sword managed to get in the way of the wolf and Winston. The wolf was dead moments later.
"Marvelous work!" Baeithra said to Winston. "You've obviously exceeded your lowborn heritage and surged to the vanguard of warriorhood!"
"Ze last one is mine!!" shouted Heinrich. "Prepare to met your doom, beast!"
Heinrich began to swing his longsword about his body loosening his joints. The beast charged, Heinrich lowered his body posistion allowing the his foe to jump over him and then thrusted his sword into the creatures sternum as it passed.

"Marvelous work!" Baeithra said to Winston. "You've obviously exceeded your lowborn heritage and surged to the vanguard of warriorhood!"
"Wow," Winston thought to himself "I actually got a compliment...I think". Winston then marched around happily, looking around for more wolves to kill. Unfortunately, they were all dead, so Winston was slightly dismayed.
"I zink she vas mocking you" said Heinrich to Winston. "Ze live of an adventurer is one of peril and danger, one must be on constant alert. you can never tell vhat form evil vill come in. Zere is no place for childish antics in our vorld."
"Spoken like a true member of Ze Order of Ze Hammer" Sir Karl said to his young squire. "Now if everyone is rested, zen ve really should press on."
The warriors readied themselves for the next room. They passed through a small hall light by torches, etched on the wall were hieroglyphics, though they appeared to be more the work of would-be adventurers, than that of those who build the complex. They were crudely drawn at best, if not rushed. But the seemed to tell of what may lay ahead. The most prominent characters was some sort of a statue that possessed a destructive beam originating from its large singular eye, and a large lizard-like creature that stood on its hind legs, and jumped about.
They came at last to the large stone door at the end of the hall. The hieroglyphics had proven to be fairly accurate in what the depicted. BEfore them stood several of the lizard like creatures as well as a hand full of the statues

Winston was admiring the artwork around the walls when he realized there were some lizard like creatures around, as well as various statues. One of the lizards charged Winston, his sword drawn, Winston was prepared and ducked the first swipe, then rolled backwards awkwardly, but still successfully. He managed to draw his sword clumsily before the next attack by the creature, but dropped it. He bent over to pick it up just as the the lizard was about to decapitate him and then jumped up as the lizard swiped where his head was once again, but it got Winston in the leg. Winston fell to the floor once again and slashed like mad, hoping that he would take down the lizard before it took him.
"Damn zese zings are quick" said Heinrich. "I cannot get a hit in. Stay still und let me hit you!"
"This weapon is faulty!" Baeithra screamed as her attack on one of the statues proved fruitless.
Sir Karl's greatsword torn throw one of the lizard creatures, some of it's blood splashed onto the statue Baeithra was trying to attack, while at the same time trying to avoid its deadly beam.
"Look the statue!" Heinrich yelled. "It is disintergrating!"
"Ze lizard's blood must be acidic, but if zat is ze case, vhy is it not eating avay at my svord" Sir Karl said to himself as he quickly looked over his blade. "Spill zeir blood! It will destory ze statues!"

Winston was astonished to notice that the lizard was actually dead and he was alive, not the other way around. He got up as he heard "Spill zeir blood! It will destory ze statues!". Winston had lizard blood all over him and he decided to attempt a daring technique. He ran forward, sword raised and blocked a passing lizards swipe, rolled between a skirmish and came up quite near to a statue. Then he ran right into the statue, before it could hit him and pasted himself and the lizard blood against it.
"Not ze greatest of strategies, but an effective one none ze less" Sir Karl said to Winston. 'Now let us get going, yes?"
"Indeed, this place is beginning to smell" Baeithra said, wiping lizard blood off her mace.
Exiting through the door at the far end they found themselves once again at the entrance hall.
"So.. ze middle door zen?" asked Heinrich. "Zen ve can claim zis so called treasure und be done viz all of zis."

The room through the middle door was large, larger than any other in the complex. Occupying the centre was a large chest. As the adventurers neared it, a voice spoke to them.
"Bout time." Baeithra said. "Now to get what we came for."
As Baeithra reached into the chest the sounds of hands clapping was heard.
"So my faith is you was warranted after all." Oboro said. "Now if you would be so kind as to hand it over. And I wouldn't try and do anything stupid If I was you."
Just as she finished her sentence, several more of Oboro's ilk appeared out of nowhere.
"There is no need for further bloodshed, we have the item we want, and you have your freedom." said Oboro. "I suggest you exercise that freedom, before I have a change of mind."
"As much as you can argue the treasure is ours by right, Oboro is right, there is no need to fight." Sir Karl said.
"Smart man. Now leave this fortress, there is a canyon to the east that will take you to a large field, there you will find a large castle town. I suggest you head there." said Oboro.

He began to pull his sword out of his sheath to begin an attack, but Sir Karl's hand motioned for him to stop. Winston replaced his sword with relunctance, then began to march back with a menacing look on his face, which made him look like he was ready to snap someone's neck.
While sharing in each other's disappointment that they could not keep the treasure that was their's by right, it was unanimous, that it was infact the best course of action.
"Ve should make for ze town, prehaps there is someone zere zat might know somezing about ze talisman." said Sir Karl.
"And maybe a tavern." said Heinrich.
"I hope you are not zinking of repeating your actions at zat tavern in Nuln Hienrich!" Sir Karl said sternly.
"No No" Heinrich screamed. " I mean a tavern for a good bed for ze night. I am tired of sleeping in ze dirt all ze time!"

The tall rock faces of the canyon towered above the adventurers as the travelled down the narrow winding path. They came to a small wooden bridge over a deep ravine with several guards patrolling it.
"So, she let you live (That Oboro will be the death of us all)" one of them spoke. "Now begone, and do not return!"
"I had not planned on it" Sir Karl said.
"Und neizer did I" followed Heinrich. "For a group of such beautiful woman they real bit...."
Before Heinrich could finish his sentence Sir Karl promptly gave the young squire a slap to the back of his head.
"Foolish boy" Baeithra muttered.
They continued along the canyon trail until at last they came at last to a vast open field. The wind genlty whistling through the long blades of grass.
"Now vhere is ze city Oboro spoke off?" asked Heinrich.

Winston once again found himself trudging along for hours. It was becoming a habit, one he did not want to continue. His legs were always tiring out after about 5 minutes and the boredom that was ensued along the trip only made the walking worse. Winston tried to be upbeat about it, but he really couldn't see benefits from all this walking, besides arriving at their destination, but thinking about getting there seemed to make the time pass even more slowly, and the pain in his legs more prominent.
The adventurers followed the path leading from the canyons until the came to a fork, with no clear markings of direction. Fortunately for them a trader happened by.
"You there!" Baeithra yelled. "Where is the nearest town. Speak!"
"Town? Town is north fellow wanderers." said the man. "Not far, not far at all. I am headed there myself to sell my wares. I shall take you."
"Ve zank you for your assistance" Sir Karl said.
"Your accent is strange, your not from these parts are you?" said the man.
"No. Ve hail from many different und distant lands." Sir Karl replied.
"Hmm, and what brings you this way, if you don't mind my asking?" the man asked.
"Ve are looking for..." Sir Karl said "An old friend."
Sir Karl was hesitant to reveal the true meaning of their goal as one cannot always count on the kindness of strangers, Bandits often assume the guise of innocent traders and passers by, in order to get closer to their prey. While this man may not be a bandit, it was still far better to air on the side of caution.

Winston studied the trader with an odd interest. He seemed like a nice guy. Maybe they could be friends. Winston began to open his mouth, but then stopped because he was unsure of what the others were thinking, so he kept it shut.
The trader led them to the out skirts of a large town, with it's huge wooden drawbridge and moat and high stone brick walls.
"Here we are" said the man. "You all look weary, if you seek food and rest so you head for the local tavern, now what was it called? AAh yes, I remember now, The Knight's Arms. Try not to get into any trouble while your there, it's often frequented by the town guard, as well as the King's own soldiers."
"I zank you kind sir." said Sir Karl. "Ve shall hed your advice, and head for zis tavern."
They moved through the busy streets full of traders and those looking for bargains. The cries of the shopkeeps filled the air.
"Have a look at my wares, I'm sure you'll find them all in satisfactory condition"
"Apples! Apples for coppers!"
"Ho Ho. I know a discerning eye when I see one"

"Indeed, It alvays surprises me to see so many people all in one place." Sir Karl replied.

"Huh? you say something lady Baeithra?" Sir Karl asked.
"No." Baeithra said sharply. "Now where is this tavern, the faster we find it, the faster we can get the answers we need."
"Yes" Heinrich piped up. "Taverns are great places for acquiring information."
"Aah here ve are" said Sir Karl. " Ze Knight's Arms."

Oshida glanced over his shoulder as the large group came into the tavern. He studied each one closely, taking note of their weapons and armor. They're not normal travelers, he thought. He turned back around to the bartender, acting like he didn't notice the newcomers. However, he made sure that when they sat down near him, he could hear everything they said.
