Moon (2009): 8/10
A great sci-fi movie. Though it seems to lack something to be brilliant and is a little bit predictive, I really enjoyed watching it.
An AI actually being nice and not killing anyone was a pleasant surprise
I really enjoyed the film. The effects were very well done, plus it had some actors I like, and there are a lot of scenes that just felt cool. I really, really liked this movie. The only thing that detracted from the experience was the sappy romance towards the end. If stories in general have romance, it should be done right (i.e. professing your undying love for someone when you've only met last week is not done right, imo), I am rather critical of romances in stories, because they can easily feel tacked on and detract from the overall plot.
Nonetheless, I can definitely recommend this movie to anyone. Hopefully you'll enjoy it as much as I did.
Sweeter than Kaoru's crepes, cuter than the trinkets from the Nutz House and more beautiful than the bouquets from the Hanasaki Flower Shop. Animation budget always seems higher for this series every year. Must be the benefit of having dual demographic targets.
Recently I’ve been watched Mission Impossible 4. It’s a movie that is complete in screenplay, cinematography, special effects, thrill and suspense. There's a bit of drama and comedy as well. The story tag is really meaningful and I rate this movie 7/10.
Everything portrayed in the movie, in my opinion, is very spot on. There's something about the movie that speaks to me; the confusion associated with coming out of high school, the process of coming of age, sticking to your beliefs, and just trying to be yourself in a time when there are so many places to go and people to be that just make me love this movie. It has one of the best soundtracks of any movie I've seen, it has some of my all-time favorite scenes, and it's just a movie that makes me feel good. It's a great cinematic feat.
Edit: This is also one of those movies where the trailer definitely doesn't do the movie itself any justice. Not in the slightest.
Review:
The movie was really good, it has a few sad moments in it but if you're trying to watch this with a big group or younger children it's very difficult to get involved and sucked in to the story of it. It's most definitely more enjoyable watching on your own in a quiet dark room. The movie was decently long, the beginning felt kind of slow and theres very little dialogue until the last 15 - 20 minutes of the movie. After the movie ends it got me thinking, what if this is how we end up? and it wouldn't be to surprising judging by how lazy everybody really wants to be.
Bronson(2008): 7/10
Great performance by Tom Hardy as always, this movie isn't for everyone, i did enjoy it, although it did feel pointless at times since the plot didn't really move much forward.
Very unusual movie and very entertaining and thought provoking, I look forward to this guys portrayel of Bane in the new batman movie.
Yeah same here, you should really check out The Take, its a 4 part mini series with Tom Hardy as the lead.
Quite good imo. Good adventure movies are rare nodays... Unlike the other guy in this thread, i think the remance went in quite well (unusual for this type of movie). An week in near death experiences counts more then a whole lifetime when it comes to down to romance and friendship.
What i didn't like is the final sequence... A bit too "forced" imo. I can't enter in details because of the spoiler free nature of this thread =/
Definetly an fun movie. It lacks that extremely epic scene that makes you all emotional though.
Dune (1984) is there a finer scifi movie?....erm i think not.
When SyFy channel makes a better dune adaptation ... well, enough said.
Silent House: 5/10. Not scary and quite predictable. Me and the wife guessed the ending about 15 minutes in. We just thought it was bad acting, though. LOL. Loved how the movie was shot though. Quite unique.
A good movie, but for some reason i was expecting something very different from it before seeing it, not sure if it was because of misleading trailer or word of mouth, i was just surprised that is was so slow paced and more of a drama then a mystery.
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo(2011): 8.5/10
Great movie, I'm still undecided about which version i like more, there are some small changes to the script and the actress that plays Lisbeth in the American version is more fitting age wise, but i do like the actress from the swedish version more.

I hate the way you cling to ignorance and pass it off as innocence

#72 US Wizards in Vanilla D3 - Aranoch#1167
Just watched it this weekend as well, it was much better then expected.
Puss in Boots: 7.5
An enjoyable and relaxing adventure, much better then the shrek movies
A Lonely Place to Die: 6.5
I expected it to be better, but its not a bad thriller.
2/10
Pretty much 2 hours of Hugh Jackman screaming at a child, being arbitrarily angry with everything around him, and fighting robots. Turrible movie.
Great movie, the director did an amazing job immersing you into the movie, Liam Neeson delivers a great performance (as always).
Funnier then expected.
The Awakening: 7.5
One of the better "ghost movies" in the recent years, it cant match movies like The Others, but its a good movie.

I was reminded of this song by the movie:
