i would like to see the OOT Hyrule make a return, but expanded a lil with new areas. Yea i guess having no properties at all on weapons would b a lil strange, so maybe like u said just hav 1 or 2 properties.
yes a return to OOT hyrule would be awesome, but TP hyrule is just as good.
yes weapons without any properties in a RPG game would be wierd, so i was thinking along to lines of Baldur's Gate where the max number of properties or weapon attributes is i think 5, not like in Diablo where an items properties can fill the entire screen in barely readiable text.

yea i recently got baldurs gates dark alliance, great game, i think thats the best route for weapon attributes. As for OOt hyrule or TP hyrule, i would still like to see OOT but thats just personal preference i guess.
meh Dark Alliance is ok, but its not the original saga.
OOT hyrule and TP hyrule are virtually the same. they are after all only decades apart, not like OOT and TWW which are centuries apart.
i prefer OOT/TP hyrule above all else.

Zelda is a great game. However, putting into a online world would be a very difficult task. items would be a bitch becuase they would have to start from scratch, but they should allow it so you could customize your items the way you want it to be and when you progress into the game find better mods you can add onto your items. They could also add a leveling system making it so you start as a small link and progress through your age as you do your levels.
Online just wouldnt feel the same.
Sorry About That.

Some people look at skateboarding has a heinous crime,
once again you would actually be link, zelda, impa ganon, ganondorf or any other major character from the game, instead you choose from the races each of these chars comes from. Hylian, Gerudo, Shiekah and so on.
i wish people would read threads before posting.

lol especially a thread that is only 3 pages long on a very kool topic. anyways, i dont think weapons would be a problem at all. I mean just basically do it like baldurs gates system with the zelda twist on it, i think it would be fine.
What characters should make a return to the game? I would like to see the return of ganon (as their always is) cause i dont want them to ruin the game with introducing a different boss, cause without ganon, zelda isnt zelda. But for minor characters i really want to see the return of Ingo, Talon, Saria, and the happy mask salesman. They all could have some kool quests thought up for the game. On the other hand, who do you not want to see the return of? Kaepora Gaebora! ( the owl ) MAN IS HE ANNOYING, i really hope if nintendo was to make an online zelda game they would just leave him out.

yep BG has the right way of dealing with item attributes and properties, just adding a LOZ twist to it would work great.
and depending on which game its modelled on i would expect many of the NPCs to appear in the game. it would be LOZ without fighting Ganon/Ganondorf. (or maybe Vaati).

It looks like it folks. And Nintendo ain't too happy.
Zelda's Link may be hitting the massively multiplayer market without Nintendo's help or even consent. Wiki is a South Korean online computer game that features a character that looks an awful lot like the Wind Waker era Link. So much so, in fact, that Nintendo has sent a warning letter to the South Korean company Webzen. Webzen's argues that the Link look-a-like is in fact the amalgam of many different variable pieces and that it's just a coincidence he looks like the Nintendo character. Is it just me or does this sound an awful lot like the Bulks and Wolferines running around on City of Heroes?
Well I had a feeling it would happen, but prehaps not this soon.
wonder what it will be like?

Hylians, Gorons, Zora, Sheikah, Gerudo, Kokiri, Deku, err for OOT anyway. There are about 6 other races I can think of.
I hope is free though, paying to play this would suck.

I liked Zelda, when it was on the N64, but if it was an MMORPG, I don't think that it would sale good. Everyone's characters would be the same and there would be nothing to it. It is a good idea though.

I've played the DND LOZ campaign with lots of people and we don't all have the same characters. I was a Goron fighter guy, another was a gerudo mage, another was a sheikah theif.
It depends on how many classes/races combinations there are. LOD has 7, so lots of people end up with the same characters, try a game like Dungeons and dragons which has 7 races and 9 classes, that's a lot more combinations, even if you count the fact that not all classes are available to all races, and that doesn't even include the mutlclassing. thats another 8 "classes" though not all races can be all 8 variants. Still it's a lot more classes than what is present in LOD, thus not everyone will be the same chars, at least initially, when everyone is learning what classes suck and which ones don't. But eventually, just like in LOD, everyone will go the same class/build.
I will give this game a go, I love the races, the world, the backstory.

a zelda rpg would be fun, but a zelda mmorpg? if it is like WOW is wouldnt be that great. i would rather it be a rpg like Diablo in the sense that it would have great single player which in the zelda series we all love, and it would just happen to have great multiplayer capabilities as well.
ovrall it is a pretty good concept i like it, very similar to this http://www.zeldauniverse.net/forums/...&highlight=d20 only it wouldnt require any dice work. to have a Hylian, a goron a zora and possible a shiekah or gerudo all adventuring at the same time, would be cool, but i dont think Nintendo would do it.
they could however prehaps license someone else of fair reknown for making quality RPG games to do it, like Bioware Corp the famed creators of many computerised Dungeons and Dragons games like Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale and Neverwinter nights or possibly Blizzard Entertainment, famed creators of Diablo, but i dont think Nintendo would do that, they are very attached to their products it kinda seems like either they make anaother game in a series, or a spinoff or they dont, i dont really recall any game series that Nintendo has allowed other company to make games for (but there is probalby some or not)
the only really problem i can see is most if not all people would only go Hylian and make their char look like Link. other than that yeh i would give it a go.
Ever hear of the Phillips CD-I? Back in the day Phillips was trying to get into the game market and Nintendo took pitty on them (Like the did for alot of companies back then...) and let them make 3 Legend of Zelda titles. They were called Link: The Faces of Evil, Zelda: The Wand of Gamalon, and Zelda's Adventure. Oddly enough, only one of the games featured Link as the hero, as Link was captured in the other two and Zelda had to go out and save him.
They are quite interesting games, and if you can find the games, and the Phillips CD-I to play them on, your one lucky SoB.
(And no, Nintendo does not Officially recognize them as being of the Zelda universe, because they sucked that badly.)

i bet it will be great
i just got my wii couple nights ago
i gotta go out and get LOZ TP still and beat it
The Wii version is different then the GC version. They flipped left and right between the two, so that the sword handling worked out right.

Yea, I would completely dissappear off the face of Mother Earth if this game came out. Not even joking, I wouldn't be here, WoW, Bnet, work, anywhere. o.O
All in all, I say, MAKE THE DAMN GAME!!!!!!!!!
Edit: Anyone remember the Hyrule war that occured before Oot takes place? If they do an MMO it would most likely take place in that time zone, so really no Link or Zelda...
Edit 2: Apparently there is a rumor going around that there might be a Wii online game coming out based on Zelda...not sure how true it is though... Though they might have seen how people play WoW using the Wii-mote and decided they wanted a MMO... Idk...
This concept has been floating around for quite some time, and maybe something like that in the future will happen. I'm not sure if you remember, but, Nintendo stated that Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess would be the last Zelda of that kind. I'm unaware of that specifically means, but, you never know.
