Hello people, i recently got a hold of a bunch of old rts games that i used to play when i was younger. Games like KKND 1 and 2, Total Annihilation, C&C, Red Alert, 7th Legion, Dune, Age Of Empires 1 and 2 and of course Starcraft and Warcraft 1 and 2. Are there any other RTS fans out there? Which ones are your favourites? Did i forget any titles?
Personally, i put KKND Krossfire (2) in the top 3 atleast. It has a great soundtrack, great graphics and gameplay and its awesome for lan parties. Plus the storyline is kind of cool.
I'm with you on the RTS game genre. The only ones I've played are C&C, Red Alert and the entire Age of Empires series. I have Command and Conquer: The First Decade.

Age of Empires 2 holds a fond place in my heart, as I can remember playing the shit out of it over LAN in my CISCO class. Three hours or so of that almost of every day, we had the most massive battles possible on a Windows '98. ^^
Dune and the first two Warcrafts as well. I enjoyed the story more than I did the RTS gameplay, as well as TA.

The Dune game for the Sega Genesis was the first RTS I ever played, it blew my face backwards.
As for more recent ones, I'd suggest Dungeon Keeper. Recently remembered this game, and have been meaning to play it again. Definitely a sweet game, though it's not a TRUE RTS, though it borders on RTS gameplay.

Oh yeah! Dungeon Keeper was great! Too bad i had to borrow the CD from a friend back then. I only played for like a month. I liked the idea of having your minions roam the dungeon you built and do the job for you. The art style of the game appealed to me even though it was 3d.
Oh god yes! Dungeon Keeper! I'm still ready to murder the people behind canceling number 3. >:| Apparently there's an Asian F2P Dungeon Keeper online game thing. That sucks.

Dungeon Keeper! i loved it! how i had to lure monsters to my dungeon to make it more effective! and when i finally had the luck to get Horny (the bad ass demon, you dirty minds!) it was the best! he had to have his own special mini-dungeon, though, as he was very agressive!
also loved the first C&C (Tiberium Conflict?), Age of Empires 1 & 2 and the first Battle for Middle-Earth - that last one i had to quit after a 5 hour (!) LAN game with a friend that we stopped cause nobody could win!

those awesome soviet tanks! and tesla coils.
age of empires 2 was good too, but the AI was too easy for that game, if you outlast them economically its just too easy to kill them.
