First season using a Support monk. I have a build to play with Witch Doctors. However, was in a game without one, and wasn't just working out as best as it could.
There's tons of different types of support monks, depending on the party.
Is there a list to show them all, what works well depending on who's in or not in the party?
Like what build works best if the Wizard is the DPS - with and/or without a WD?, etc. etc.
To my knowledge, there's two different main types:
1) Support monk for high-level GRs, i.e., *not speed*
2) Support monk for speed GRs, i.e., grinding paragon in 3-5 minute rifts with 2-3 wizards.
The first you can easily find by just looking at the leaderboards. Look at a few profiles and look for most common patterns (never rely on a single profile as there's always trolls or people who accidentally equipped a wrong item - really high-level groups won't even notice because the monk is relatively flexible). The second you can probably find by looking at profiles from high-level people (not "inspect hero" but "view profile" or so) and check other characters on their roaster. Since it's a speed rift, obviously In-Geom is often part of the build.
The most important thing for any support monk is to stack health globe bonus on any item you can (shoulders, chest, boots, and jewelry) in order for Epiphany-Soothing Mist to heal as much as possible. Almost everything else is "optional" and there's a lot of variation, and there's not so much right or wrong but it rather comes down to what you're comfortable with.
