So I'm continuing this from a thread in the official forums where Grimiku asked the community what they would spend their fury on if the MotE/Earthen Might "bug" were reintroduced.
a lot of the discussion over there was about the viability of our spenders in general. But there were also a fair number of ideas floated like augmenting spenders with Leg affixes like "xSpender does % more damage based on amount of fury in pool." That was one that stood out to me but there were many others.
So how would the diablofans community spend their extra fury and what would you like to see changed to make our spenders (HotA , SS, WW, Ancient Spear, Rend) more fun/ more viable.
I think that barbs have pretty good spenders. I have issues with only two spenders: HotA and EQ.
EQ does not need to cost fury and have a long cooldown. Either reduce the cooldown or just make it cost fury.
The only one I have an issue with is HotA-RT. Why even have that when you can use SS?
I do have an issue with Barbs (less so than), Crusaders, and DHs not having enough resource gen to use those spenders. Personally, I would like a "chance for resource on crit" option in the utility paragon section. You can gain 5 resource on crit with a 10% baseline chance, then the points can supplement that up to 20%. You could also add it as a new affix on gear. But I digress...
I like this idea a lot. WW could be a ton of fun, and more damaging if we could "cast w/o interruption.
Along those lines, with the "1 sec reduced cool down per 15 fury spent" aspect of avalanche would you guys see yourselves incorporating it into your builds more? Would it be able to trump something like marauders rage if it could be cast more often?
I use avalanche in my build right now, running only T2 w/o any class sets, and am kinda sad that I'll have to take it out once I complete the EQ set.
I think our spenders are in a good spot right now. And I personally don't mind WW being on the back end. There is no need to bring back the Spin to Win build, which I feel so many barbs want back. I like the new changes with Furious charge. And I think Seismic Slam will have good synergy with Furious charge. I'm considering using the 2 handed mighty weapon that lowers to the cost of SS. Having Earthen might being viable again is a big change in the right direction for leap quake barbs again. The changes to CotA, is also a step in the right direction. I think a IK Boulder-toss build could make an appearance. getting CotA Damage on shoulders and chest. The Legendary gem that gives your pets 20% more crit, and running the rune that your ancients give you fury. The new Depth Diggers with Frenzy. Or for you WW fanatics, WW with CotA Fire damage rune, and those Mr. Yan's pants or what ever they're called.

It plays very well and I have not fury issues. Works with fire, ice or lightning setup.
*I found the new Lementation so Rend was my final skill.
