Hey, I'm not in the beta, but I thought I'd try and throw a build out there and see what everyone's opinion was on the build. If you're in the beta please feel free to let me know "X skill isn't working as you've imagined".
Basically I tried to tailor this build for solo + follower play. Focusing on making my pets soak up more damage, a follower that is focused on heath regen, and my Witch Doctor dealing more dots from afar. Note: this is what I plan on using at level 30, not building up to 30.
Zombie Dogs: In an attempt to keep them alive longer I thought it'd be a good idea to give them some life leech.
Haunt: A good dot that'll do more dmg per sec with the alabaster rune.
Firebats: The seem like a good direct damage spell and the indigo rune I can just cast it have them home in on a target.
Gargantuan: Big tank guy. I think he'll work out well with the poison mod or the cleave mod.
Locust Swarm: Another dot. buffing it up to 7 seconds seems like a good plan.
Fetish Army: Summoning some crazy midget stabbers more often is always a good plan.
I plan to mainly let me summons and follower (templar) run the thick of the enemy lines while I support them with jumping dots (haunt and locust swarm) and my direct damage spell Firebats. I think this will keep me very mobile and pretty good on mana.

He's pretty much tank and heal based.
Let me know what you think and if I'm totally over looking something. Thanks!
You will just be using haunt and locust on many monsters.. then recasting haunt since it lasts 3 seconds with that rune.
You can trade firebats for an AOE spell(or rune firebats to dire bats, so its a strong aoe, instead of strong single target with hungry bats)
