Ultra giga super mega tera noob question. I play barb as my main, have fully caldesanned, solid, gear with at least lvl 80 gems and 1.3k paragons.
Despite the fact that numbers show 830 000 000 + toughness when I jump and stuff, dark berserkers one shot me, dust eaters take me down in 2 strikes and so on. We are talking about pleb grift 80 here, nothing fancy... I mean how does DH/WD/Wizz survive those grifts if tankiest solution for solo barb grift get pounded into dust by every single grotesque explosion, any guardian melee attack and so on.
I have impression that difficulty difference between grift 79 - 80 is much bigger than 75-76 or 78-79. I mean, I did 79 with some 1000 paragons, caldesann 60-80, under 1000 physical resistance... Now, after 300 more paragons and complete caldesann overhaul, my best result ever is to spawn guardian 90 seconds before timer expires, and then to stay short of time some 20 sec to 2 min, depending on boss. Tried run with string of ears to see if 30% reduced melee damage would help me to stay alive, but berserkers still murder me in a single strike. Lol, I'm so frustrated right now, did at least 300 grift 80 selo runs and spawned boss less then 10 times. Saw several videos, tried the same, with better gear then most of ppl playing MotE in those... Swaped animosity amulet since I had instant death problem when healing under its effect with a better rolled one that does not contribute to the build much but in damage... Idk, I feel pathetic...

Only damage reduction % really matters. Get armor and resist to 75%+ and they stop doing anything. Gotta start stacking those aquila cuirass, unity, parthans, etc

I've played all the classes and I've played the MoTE build, and I will tell you this even zdps full tank can be one shoted by berserker and bosses.
Avoid big hitter if your lucky you can dodge there attack that's all.
