I liked the skill alot, i allways like the "last stand-style" skills. It's also the most attractive skill in the Battlemaster tree imo. I totally disagree that this skill is a 30% HP heal with 5 min cooldown. It's a pretty dull simplification. I will give one of 100 exemples of why those things are so different: With you have 20% and take a powerfull blow that cause something like 50% of your total HP you can revive and still have another chance. If the skill were just a 30% HP heal you would die even with 50% HP. This is a *huge* difference in difficult combat situations, like PvP and hard boss (if D3 boss will have 1/3 of wow's boss difficulty, then this shall be very usefull).
It's like say a skill that revive a ally is the same of a 100% HP heal in that ally. Thats insane.
About what we gain with levels? Problably more HP% sounds the fairest imo.
But theres something about that skill that i don't like: the cooldown. I can cleary see the picture of a barbarian in the room before a boss fight waiting like 2 minutes to the cooldown recharge. Imo the skill should have 2 minutes cooldown, but you can't use it two times in the same fight because if you pass 2 minutes, the skill keeps disabled until you come out of combat - out of combat means you killed all enemies in a room, you can't run away and become out of combat.
italofolca, it's very difficult to set "2 times used in a fight". I think that death proofl is a VERY useful skil, but having a 2 mins cooldonw it's way to easy.
