Sep 26, 2008syruplord posted a message on Bashiok Discusses Inventory Systemspersonally I just wish they'd keep the tetris system. Saying it takes away from the action is bull. Some of the most stressful times are when you're trying to clear out room for a giant unique item that just dropped while you're still fighting off tons of monsters. The tetris system is kind of fun by itself anyway, trying to organize everything the most efficient way possible.Posted in: News

Jul 12, 2008syruplord posted a message on Diablo III - More DetailsFair schmare. Diablo is not a fair world. At all. You click fast or get undergeared. Now, you just gotta keep playing and hope for a lucky drop, or trade trade trade! In D2 you got drops all the time that you didn't need, so you trade it for an item someone else got that they didn't need. Same concept now except there's not way pickit hackers can get it.Posted in: News
And don't even think about a WoW loot system. I don't want to wait 30 seconds after every kill to decide who gets a magical ring. -
Jul 6, 2008syruplord posted a message on Diablo III PK and PvPWow, you guys complain about how they must make Hardcore PvP different so you can't get TPPK'd and lame stuff like that. HOW ABOUT FIXING TPPK??? Doing TPPKs usually requires a hack or something to do it really quickly so it's cheating as it is. Eliminate cheating would make PKing fair and you have the choice to leave the game if you don't want to risk dying.Posted in: News
Also, PKers in HC made the game sooo much more suspenceful. I remember on one of my top HC characters as I was leveling, this nice amazon offered to help me do Ancients. She helped me with them, and then offered the Worldstone Keep WP. Oh thanks, Amazon, you're so kin....*HOSTILE* *SHOOT SHOOT* *LEAVE* Holy shit. Two guided arrows from this Amazon 30 levels higher than me. I have no time to react and quit. I just stand there. The first one hits...BAM down to 10 HP. The other arrow is screaming towards me. I am moments away from death and probably going to be the end of me playing D2 forever. The arrow hits. *DINGGGGG* ASSASSIN WEAPON BLOCK. THANK YOU!!!!!! Never in my Diablo career was my heart pumping faster, and never did the game feel so "hardcore".
After that I began to trust no one. Maybe that's a good thing, maybe not. But I started making friends and joining groups that did Baal runs and were trusted. PKers can force you to start communities, and I think that'd help Blizzard make D3 more co-op like they've wanted. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

The barbarian is supposed to be in the fray, so giving him survivability only makes sense. The other classes can run around using their spells and running away from attacks, but the barbarian has less choices for evading, and will have to tank more than the others.

Actually, x33 333 = 0.99%...that's still less than 1% chance. Multiply it by 100, and you get a 100% chance of getting one after... yeah 3 333 300 baal kills
But, think of how many players there are. I just checked and there were 32,000 players on d2. If everyone did 100 baal runs, there'd be a Zod rune on the server, just like it was intended

Would be awesome to see that

I played dozens and dozens over characters through the years, and starting from scratch was never really a bore to me. When I made a new character, I would look into what build I would make, and go from there. Some builds made it very tough to play through even just Act 1 because I couldn't spend points till a higher level. This made it an interesting replay.
With respec, I will lose that experience. The build that required me to skip a lot of skills would never be made, because I would just wait till I attain that level, the respec to use it. LAME.
And I just don't see myself forcing myself to play with no-respeccing if it's made avaialble and everyone else is doing it...peer pressure!

Dude I love your jester idea, but I'd like to take it a step further to make it fit more into the Diablo world (cmon, a clown running around killing demons?)
How about take your idea of Card Tricks and instead use it for a Psychic class, who uses tarot cards to invoke magic and summons. They also have psychic abilities to control monsters and use their powers to shred away at the enemies' minds.
