Oh yeah, you can socket any white body armor or weapon with max sockets with 1-6 of the same kind of gem (normal-normal, flawless-exceptional, blemished-elite) and a socket donut. Helms, boots, gloves all have similar cube recipes.

Ive tried installing Eastern Sun Mod 3.00 again without the D2loader.exe present in the game files

It still doesnt work. It doesnt give an error message either, the process of Eastern Sun Mod just starts for about 1 second and cuts out
So it must be the DAEMON tools.... *sigh*

Edit- Read somewhere that DAEMON tools is fine, so it must be my .iso file that im using, I dont think its a complete iso file (I have to run d2loader and the .iso on daemon tools simultaneously just to get the game to run)
It was a downloaded .iso, not a direct copy of a disk i had. My disks are broken. My Iso is only good enough for installation but not playing by itself

O well, guess that means no Eastern Sun mod for me

I am at worldstone lvl1 right now and am only lvl40 I think and I have been kind of going through it sort of quickly. So I suggest you lvl a tiny bit before hand and get to at least lvl45 before baal. Not that you need to be lvl45 to kill baal, I was just saying for when you get to nm...

lol, can you keep making cow level after you've killed him?

And if so, just go and do nm now..lol, apparently the real jump in difficulty is nm to hell.

Another stupid question, but are you guys doing certain runs to get so high so fast?

I mean, it took me at least five hours the other day to get from lvl12 to lvl18, and I had just reached the Monastery when I stopped; bypassing Blood Raven's Workshop.

I'm not complaining that I'm getting nowhere fast -- I know I must have a fairly different game-play style than most folks (I just play it straight; no rush... I kinda get caught-up in the atmosphere rather than attempt to get from point-A to point-B as fast as possible) -- it just interests me that people are able to advance so quickly.

Lvl 10-20 is the slowest going of all the levels.

I usually finish Diablo at lvl 30, and Baal at 40. Starting NM at 41 is a good place to begin. 45 might be better, but I have finished NM Andariel at only lvl 35 on my old Sorceress. It was hella hard, but it is definately possible, especially when you have good equipment built up from other characters.

For instance, I started a new Necro yesterday so I could play with you guys. I played for about 6 hours and I'm already lvl 35 and I've finished the NM den of evil.

The online manual is very easy to read. You hit the recipes tab, and scroll to the section that you want to use. In this case, Socket Recipes. Then you look at the Input column and put all of those items in your cube, and when you hit transmute, what comes out is the Output column. Fairly straight forward.

I found 20-30 and 30-40 pretty slow-going as well, but hey I was anxious to use some of the items.

And I am collecting every unique and every set possible. Gunna try and get every single set and unique. Or a crap load of them anyways. And that includes LoD uniques and runewords too.

Ohh, I wanna get Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu for my zealer. Two words: Bad ass (lol it could be one word... meh)

I've got some class-specific uniques that I've held on to, just in case I ever get off my ass and get on to Hamachi during one of these weekends.
One's a necro wand, and another an assassin blade (that's all I remember, atm, without starting up the game).

Jeez - I am lagging behind. I haven't played in awhile. Still in Act 2 but I am around level 27. lol I like to go over every nook and cranny.

I finally was able to get through level 1 in Blood Ravens shop - but then I started dying again in level 2. I will give up on it for now. I also couldnt find level 2 of Viper Temple to get amulet. I figured it was somewhere in Lost Farm and kept getting killed by them damn cows. I searched everywhere in level 1 and could not find an entrance to level 2 for the life of me, but I've been told its there. lol

I will try making a few other chars to start sharing items. I have quite a few uniques for other chars.

I still cannot get TCP/IP or a hamachi game working either.

What class are you playing, Stormy?

Yep. I gotta be right in there, toe-to-toe.
I prefer a barb, as well, in ES -- I tried the druid, but they took away my werebear, and I don't like the fire elemental.

I have gotten a lot of druid and zon items in ES.


But for some reason paly's never interested me.

I have been using Thunder Wave and Plasma Rain.
