First of all, the site sucks. Second of all, I don't see them specifying "This was published, this was made and published." Third of all, a lot of those games have developers that I do know. So you are not really proving me anything.
If there is a MAJOR game project that Activision has actually made, point me to it.
I don't know about favourite companies because really I don't care what company makes it, as long as it's good. But I know the companies with my favourite games.
Ubisoft had no influence on Heroes V I know that for sure. The most publishers can do is say "make it faster". Which is why I hate publishers.
That's not true, Publishers usually have their own staff working with developers at all times. The publisher is responsible for financial decisions, which are based on quality of the game. They handle bug testing on occasion as well as tech support.
Now as for the best developers:
Blizzard StarCraft Series
Diablo Series
WarCraft Series
BioWare Neverwinter Nights
Knights of the Old Republic
Mass Effect
2K Boston/Irrational Bioshock
System Shock 2
Looking Glass System Shock 2
Thief 1 & 2
Strategy First/Akella Disciples Series (Akella is responsible for the 3rd only)
Do you argue with everything? Activision OWNS the following studios:
Beenox - Bee Movie Game - and is in conjuction for making the James Bond title Activision is working on.
Bizarre Creations - The Club - Project Gotham Racing
Infinity Ward - Metal of Honor Games
Luxoflux - Star Wars: Demolition - True Crime series
Neversoft - Responsible for the Tony Hawk Games
Raven Software - Quake 4 - Soldier of Fortune
These are just some of the studios that Activision owns. Being as the company activision owns all of these different game studios they are producing their own games. This is called a parent company. The parent company puts the money into their studio and classifies the studio as a subsidiary for tax purposes.
Now Activision is the only one that owns the rights to produce the games because it owns the studios. So when you say that the publisher can only ask them to go faster in fact they can shut the studio down completely if they want it belongs to them. They can sell the studio if they want, and keep the rights so that the studio can no longer produce the games they are popular for. All of these things of course depend on the contrat agreement made when they bought out the studios to begin with.

Maybe some publishers do that kinda, but I don't remember a publisher that actually makes their own game, from scratch or paired up. The developer is the one actually doing stuff.
And until Nival patches anything Ubisoft isn't releasing any patches. In fact, people were very pissed at Ubisoft because Nival is a very slow company when it comes to patching stuff. When Heroes V was released, network support was so horrible people used Hamachi instead.

Now, what does that have to do with the actual development of a game by one of htose poor little studious?
A parent company is very responsible for the quality of their products. The responsibility for quality ultimately falls back on the parent company. If Activision releases a game that doesn't do well or looks horrible do you think that people are going to say I don't want another game from that studio or are they going to say that Activision releases terrible games?
Either way I am through with this. You can swing it how you like it just as I can swing it how I like it and ultimately nothing is solved. In my eyes the best two game companies are :
Blizzard
Activision

No, they are only responsible for it selling right (which has nothing to do with quality from the perspective of a greedy gamer). They are not the authors of some idea. They are not going to put that tree over there. They are not programming the engine. They are not drawing the textures, not modeling the models, not writing the story. They are not MAKING the game, only OVERSEEING it.
And, I don't care what people say. People say "activision", I say "raven". People are stupid.

If you were talking to me - I wasn't talking about Ubisoft. I was talking about EA, because my reply in my last post was directed to your reply for when I was talking about EA.

I'm not completely sure about the whereabouts of some companies. EA may be actually making some games, but you didn't list any. Abimael did list some games but he gave the credit to Activision instead of whoever made them even tho Activision is just a manager.
With each one of the games I listed I also provided the studio that produced them. I did not give credit to Activision in denying that a studio produced the game under and different name than Activision, however as I said because Activision owns the studio thereby they are responsible for the video games that come out of that studio.

No you didn't:
"Activision
Star Trek: Star Fleet Command III
Star Trek: Legacy"
I don't see the studio names here...
And it's funny, because, for instance, there is Raven who made Star Trek Voyager and then there are some other companies who made Star Trek Star Fleet and Star Trek Legacy and all people can say is "Activision makes very diverse games"...
I was dropped on my head as a child and no one loves me? What do you mean what is wrong with me?
Infinity Ward is not responsible for a single Medal of Honor game... now.. they did make Call of Duty 1, 2 and 4.
Which brings me to my next point.
If you check out reviews, you will see that Call of Duty 3 didn't do very well.
Now by your standards, it should have been good since it was backed by Activision. Unfortunately, Activision has nothing to do with the quality of the CoD series, it's the developer, which in this case is Infinity Ward.
