Also Blizzard has explicitly said they do not have any plans to remaster or -make Diablo 2.
When did they say that? Do you have an actual source that quotes them somewhere? Because the only major quotes I've seen are from David Brevik:
"I can say from a technical standpoint that it's going to be extremely difficult. That you will not be able to capture it exactly the way it was," original Diablo creator David Brevik said in a 2018 IGN interview. "The number one reason is because of the shape of the screen. Because the screens back then were 800x600 and largely square, and now they're not, they're 16:9 and 16:10, we did a lot of tricks."
Even in this years Activision earnings call Bobby "give me your money" Kotick said:
"At Activision we have seen great results from remastering some of these beloved games over the last couple of years. They are obviously having a big impact on our bottom line and a real impact there, but I'd say what's really important is that it's reaffirming the enduring nature of these franchises for us. We think there's a lot of IP in there the fans are going to want to experience again. So now what I'd say stay tuned for some future announcements."
Naw, you're right, it will only be 4, unless they reveal Wc4 which would be freaking amazing.
I was hoping for the SC FPS, but they split that team for OW2 and D4.
Blizzard has just declared last blizzcon 2018 warcraft IV is not in project actually.
Things change, after Blizzcon 2018, they now know that people want it, so it is probably one of the unannounced projects that was hired for this year.
They are updating all the graphics for a reason.
If that were the case, I doubt they would have anything to announce or reveal with a year's worth (at most) of work on it. They pulled D4's announcement last year for who-know's-what and it's been in development hell for like half a decade. I'm not saying it won't happen, but I'm cautious about thinking it would be announced this year.
