Well, from looking at the trailers and screenshots, it looks like a lot of the artists for Diablo III were influenced by the look of the Lord of the Rings movies. Remember, those movies had not yet been released when Diablo II came out.

However, while the new DIII look has a LOTR feel, it does look somewhat darker than LOTR. Time will tell. Plus, even if it is not that dark, all that really matters is the gameplay. I don't think the graphics look to detract too much from that.

What if for Diablo 3 Blizzard decides to go for a look similar to this but from a top-down isometric point of view like before?

Also, at http://www.legendarypictures.com/index.php , if you look at movies in development... Diablo was added. =D

Hmmm....I think you might be on to something. It looks as if more information will be coming soon. Maybe the movie will connect with a game announcement?

OR....maybe the Diablo movie will be the big announcement at BlizzCon? OR...both will be announced? Possible....

Thanks for all your help and advice. I tried the solutions you suggested, but alas, they did not work.

My laptop is not the best for gaming and the video card could be the problem. I still believe the problem is that my screen resolution is either 800x600 or 1024x768.

I have noticed that when I try to run my resolution at 800x600 it takes up the same amount of screen as Starcraft. I think my laptops screen just plain stinks!

I recently installed Starcraft on my laptop (a 2003 Dell Inspiron 1100). The game works well, but with one problem. The screen size for the game is half the size it should be. My computer resolution options are 800x600 and 1024x768.

I think the problem is that Starcraft runs at a different resolution. But how do I fix the problem so that the games takes up the whole screen? Any help would be much appreciated.
