That's debatable. I recall posting news that BlizzCast Episode 1 would be released two weeks before it was released. And no CM had posted about it on the forums yet. I talked about Diablo II patch over a month before it was confirmed in a China interview.Quote from "AcidReign" »I don't feel that Medievaldragon is any more aware of groundbreaking Blizzard news than we are ourselves.
I have open contact with the novel writers, and the community managers. You would be surprised how often I communicate with the CMs. My interviews get posted in the front page of the official site. One is going to be posted soon by Public Relations (Epic Weapons' Frostmourne).
By the time I go to WWI, I would have been already staff member of this community -- Umaro contacted me last night. I know when. At WWI I will meet the CMs in person, they wish to. Fansites will have a special dinner meeting with developers. I will have press badge to have internet access from WWI to update live this community site news.
And most importantly, I plan to synchronize with members of this community that are going to WWI, so that I can upload their own images and journals to the front page. -

I have a theory, but it is just that. I have a feeling Battle.net 2.0 will continue to be free-gameplay, with a pay-to-play component with extra-features. Think Hellgate: London.Quote from "SteelVelocity" »W-World of Warcraft!!!??? OH GOD!!! Pay to play sucks!.... Ah well, do you think they will put a charge on Battle.net? I heard those rumors are recirculating since the guys at Blizzard have not decided whether or not to put a monthly/bi-monthly charge on B.net. (and no, I don't have the link, you'll just have to find it yourself.) -

To be honest, my favorite game has been World of Warcraft. I have played it since closed beta 2004. Seconded by Starcraft which I played from 2001.Quote from "SteelVelocity" »Hey MedievalDragon, what is your favorite Blizzard game? Favorite game of all time?
I purchased Diablo II and LOD by December 2004 to write up the lore in the website. I did enjoy playing the single player beating the game with a mage and necromancer. It kinda sucked when I put my points into frost tree and later on bosses were immune to frost lol. I liked the lore and I have read Diablo: The Sin War. I plan to collect all the Diablo novels at some point.
I look forward to playing Diablo 3. -

Starcraft 10th Anniversary News WatchQuote from "SteelVelocity" »Hey Medieval Dragon, what's with the giant question mark on BlizzPlanet? -
Mar 28, 2008Medievaldragon posted a message on Diablo 3 News WatchVery doubtful. Blizzcon and WWI beta keys are most likely Starcraft 2 beta. Between Starcraft 2 and Wrath of the Lich King the game that looks more complete to be in beta is Starcraft 2.Posted in: News
The zerg is finally out. It now requires some crunching time beta testing to balance the gameplay.
Wrath of the Lich King is nowhere finished. We have barely seen any updates besides the Bestiary. We haven't been shown Sholazar Basin, Azjol-Nerub, Gun'drak, Storm Peaks, Ice Crown, Coldarra, heck not even Dalaran city. To me it looks very incomplete thus far. My guess is Starcraft 2 beta starts anywhere before or after WWI (Summer). Wrath of the Lich King beta my guess is somewhere around October-November. -

It's the other way around. Blizzplanet is hosted directly or indirectly by Diablo3.com Servers the past two years.Quote from "Chisto_Dex" »Yes. BlizzPlanet is already hosting them. (I forget where, but I do believe MD mentioned it somewhere) All you'd have to do is redirect urls and links (if it's set up right). We'll prolly see a redirect from this site before everything gets set in place over at BlizzPlanet.
This is, of course, an big IF. -

Becaue originally it was meant to be released a month after I posted about the patch. However, this is why Blizzard doesn't provide public patch release dates. =)Quote from "Blades11" »MD also made it seem as though the Diablo 2 patch was coming very soon, but that has not been the case, just be patient. =)
Hard to predict. Therefore it is ready when it is ready. -
Mar 25, 2008Medievaldragon posted a message on Diablo 3 News WatchFor those who don't play World of Warcraft, the demon you see at the Blizzard main page is Kil'jaeden - former lieutenant of Sargeras and Lord of the Burning Legion. The main topic of the Patch 2.4 (Fury of the Sunwell) is the summoning of Kil'jaeden into Azeroth by using the Sunwell as a portal. Kil'jaeden is the final boss of the 25-players raid dungeon.Posted in: News

Thankfully, next days I found a gasoline station many blocks from the hotel and got them there for 2 euros or so.

I paid 7 Euros at the hotel for a ... bottle of water. That really hurt lol.

There's a possibility DiabloFans will be giving away BlizzCon tickets too. Stay alert to the DiabloFans News section.

Regardless, the PvP and Trade feedback was an addition wanted. Whether just asking for people to post once as an entry to the contest or lottery, or submitting a pvp / trade feedback the end would have been the same for this specific and particular contest --- winners would have been and were chosen randomly.
Now that aside, helping Blizzard with feeback to make PvP and Trading the best possible experience in Diablo 3 is a plus. It is a reward for all fans.
It is not your call how we should have done it. We don't tell you how to do stuff in your household, where you pay the bills and run things.
0
The only difference here is:
- that you expressed honestly what you wanted to see in PvP and Trade.
- Blizzard will read your feedback, and debate internally ways to implement this feedback in-game.
That's a prize in itself for everyone if they do a good PvP and Trade system.

Pointless rant. There were around 308 entries. It is nigh impossible to read them all and pick which were best, then narrow them down to 20 winners.
As for 20 identical posts, we are not sending the 20 only. We are sending most of them 307 submissions.
I met Bashiok in Paris. He reads diablofans boards.
If I had originally said it would be random, people would have created multiple accounts to raise their chances to win -- which could have resulted in a lot of people getting banned since that's against the forum rules/guidelines. I have seen on the moderation private forums a lot of cases of people who have gotten banned for that. Moderators do investigate multiple accounts zealously.

Other topics discussed were Inventory system. Mulling is not encouraged in Diablo 3. That's a thing of the past. The part that made me drool here was "... We really want to make it easier for you to be able to share and trade items with other people and other characters on the same account. We've talked about ideas like a shared stash, or a mail system like World of Warcraft has, and we haven't nailed down exactly which one of those we want to do, but we're definitely going to do something like that, that's going to make it really easy for you if you've got, a witch doctor and a barbarian character, and you find that awesome witch doctor drop and you want to share it, it'll be super-easy to do that. No more opening up a game, dropping items on the ground, and you know, hoping that the game stays open or getting a friend to help out, no more of that. You should be able to do it on your own."
You can check out the BlizzCast 5 Podcast and transcript here.
Thanks, Zoltrix

It is not certain whether the next installment of Diablo after Diablo 3 will be an MMO, but he does answer Chris Metzen has plenty of lore and knows what direction the Diablo universe will go after Diablo 3.
Thanks, Jugzor.

All your feedback will be forwarded to Blizzard.

Regardless, that doesn't mean we won't see Necromancers as NPCs. This is not official through the interview, but the city of Ureh is within Necromancer territory, thus inevitable not to see Necromancer NPCs. Richard A. Knaak told me a few days ago "Ureh is an integral part of the game." Two years ago, Knaak also told us during the public Q&A that Blizzard had very special plans for Zayl the Necromancer.
