Yeah, I guess my posts didnt make much sense. The point I was trying to convey is that you need to look at the glass as being half full! You can look at it as the normal game being crippled, and elite mode being the norm, and let it ruin the game for you, or you can look at it as the normal game will still kick ass, and elite will be even better. A ferrari's faster than a corvette, but that doesnt mean a corvette sucks....

All a matter of perspective, and how optimistic of a person you are I guess. I know I'll give the game a chance. I'll buy it for sure, then decide if its worthy of 10$ a month. I wont boycott a wicked ass game over something so trivial as point of view.

Thats exactly the point (which you missed aparantly). You have a point of reference that its normal to have eyes. If you didnt know about the elite add-ons, you wouldnt know what you're missing, thus you wouldnt feel short changed, or disadvantaged.

Just look at it this way. If you knew nothing about the "elite" service, and Flagship didnt anounce anything about it till after the game was released, would you still be pissed? You wouldnt even know about all the other stuff that they're adding if you pay, and you likely wouldnt be complaining. They wanted to give people a preview of what you get by paying, but instead it comes across as short changing the non-payers. Its all a matter of point of view. I think it would have been a better business decision by them to release details about elite service after people had the game for a month or 2. That way it seems more like you're paying for additional content rather than just the full, non-cut game. I agree, it does kinda seem like they're cutting content from non-payers, but I think its all a matter of perspective.

What if a company announced some cool features in an expansion pack that they're planning before they even release the actual game. Would you be pissed then? Its basically the same thing. Not sure if that makes any sense what I typed, but its clear in my head anyways. Damn my poor communication skills!!

Hey! First post! Anyways, I remember reading another post on here a while ago (which I cant find now)......I was just wondering why everyone was assuming that the blizz job postings for "ppl experienced with MMORPG's" a while ago was for a new game necessarily? Is it not plausable that the people they're looking for are to help upkeep/update WOW. and not necessarily for new game development? So D3 may not be a MMORPG. Although I wouldnt mined D3 being a MMORPG necessarily.....

PS. I cant wait for D3! Played D1 for the playstation for the first time like 8 years ago, then played D2/LOD since they came out (quit playing about 2 years ago....awaiting D3 and Hellgate London now) This site is awesome...it rekindled my interest in the diablo series. I almost forgot about that game until I found this site!!! SO many wasted hours playing D2 that I almost forgot about, haha!
