My suggestions concerning trading features and pvp features.
PvP- We need a more focused system here, this cat and dog chasing around maps gets old, fast. Hardcore mode pvp is such a waste, you work your butt off to play russian rollette with someone of equal or greater power, reward?.. Gear; loss..?;everything.
I think it needs to be refined with a better system, why can't gladiator type arenas be thrown in, or game types with pvp objectives, maybe races; like beating another player in a race that deals with killing tons of really difficult bosses in a set time frame?.. The game is after all a fast paced hack'n'slash. Why not have different game types setup for pvp, or npcs you could go to an engage in these events by talking to them and choosing where you'd like to compete. Like for instance- Be the last man standing in a deathmatch, where the spin is. You have to survive against the opposing players, and an onslaught of helacious demons that are there willing to tear you limb from limb- Reward, possibly amazing loot? Because it doesn't have to cater to all those people who wish to pvp, cause again it's arena style, the strongest player or most strategically skilled player will stand victorious.
In reality there just has to be more than, player-x, + kills player-y.. = bragging rights and an ear, or gear if you're on hardcore mode. There needs to be something more engaging to the player. That's the jist of what my opinions on pvp as it was in diablo 2 and where I think pvp should go in diablo 3.
Trading system-
Bartering is outdated, there really needs to be a set currency even if this game is co-op. Why can't there be caravan of sorts that you can drop items off at that you want to sell to other players, and any other player in the game could go to the caravan and purchase your item for a set price, or bid on the item. A mailing system needs to be implemented some how. By now I hope everyone realizes that a game like diablo, you sure as hell create more than one character. And many a time do players find some amazingly useful item that doesn't fit the character they found it on but would greatly suit another one in their arsenal. Maybe change gold with a lower metal?; keep it but have it worth more in it's respects. Like for instance 1000 copper = 1 gold, make copper heavily readily available like gold drops were in diablo 2.
Diablo's main flaws were these two systems, and I think it's great that they've been brought up for discussion. I know my ideas aren't wholely original ( or that's what I'm expecting ), but I believe they're noteworthy. Diablo 2 was and still is one of my most favorite games of all time, and if Diablo 3 can pick up on a couple of places where diablo 2 lacked. It can definitely be up there as one of the greatest video games ever made. Not many games can make you feel like a god in it's respects. Diablo did just that, made you feel more than human in the game world set in sanctuary. Keeping the formula from diablo 2 to diablo 3 is a great plus, but lets throw some more calculations in there.
Sorry for some of the mangled sentences, I wrote this at 2:30 in the morning; after coming back from the midnight movie release of deathrace.

My main question deals with item balancing, mostly runewords, Are we going to see runewords in DIII; How are runewords going to differ from unique loot( same scale, balanced at a more powerful point, etc. )
edit: And another one; Item sets; are we going to be seeing those at all?, and if so are they going to play a more significant part in game play, ( most of the item sets from d2 couldn't compare to the caliber of even some of the mildest runewords )
Any thought on the subject as far as item balance goes and how they're working that out is what I'm mostly getting at. Feel free to pick my question apart. -

~Basically diablo 2 with instanced towns(safe zones w/ traders an what not) an open world gameplay outside of the hubs where you can meet an play with people. I'm hoping later content will turn out to be dark an gritty and evil'esc.
I started a Cyclopse bloodletter named Chronas if any of you have an account an wana party up.

In a recent news letter from flagship, they've stated that they rebuilt the game, from the ground up to be more expansive, cohesive, and seamless. They're calling this revamp- the Mythos Overworld.
"Previously, Mythos' dungeons and monsters were instanced off safe towns. The towns are still safe, but the world around them has grown to be more like that of a conventional MMORPG. Now players of Mythos can actually explore a fully realized persistant world, meeting and adventuring with other people outside of town."
"All this is available right now on our mythos test center. It's still in development, but if you'd like to try it out early, all you have to do is start up Mythos and select "Mythos Test Center" from the login screen's dropdown menu.
Thats the jist of what they were talking about, the games completely changed from a straight up dungeon crawler to an open world mmo, which is pretty need in it's perspective, again it's totally free to play and is decently fun to play around with.
~ Have a good one guys goin to check out this new stuff.

However on the other hand Age of Conan went live on the United States / Oceania servers today, the game is hell-o fun, it has a real big diablo feel to it when it comes to fighting, it's mostly skill based and it's a complete thrill ride I'm pretty sure I couldn't stop playing it today, but sleep is a must I feel a good ole second wind zombie mode rollin up an I best hit the hay ( metaphoricly speaking ), thank god I had the day off work.

I gave up on my wow ventures, the game is nothing but rinse an repeat, nothing new every thing's the same with a different gift wrapping, I played it since a couple weeks after the games release in 2004.
Tomorrow Age of Conan opens up to the world as a whole, and I'm diving into a pve server, there's some imbalance with Free For All pvp on the pvp realms and spawn camping but it's being quickly addressed by Funcom which is really nice on their part.

Most of you are taking this whole post count thing way out of hand, it's a forum where people come to chat, about things diablo related, some not but what ever. Quit your whining, quit whining over people who get 1000+ posts in a month; it just shows how at home they are in this online community, so just be chill, and stop fretting about average post counts, etc., etc. Be cool people.. we have more crap coming up in the next couple of months from blizzard, so just get ready.
Cheer up folks, we could *should* (crosses fingers), have a diablo announcement with-in the next couple of months.

Umpa you should check out http://www.deviantart.com/ they have a lot of real neat things there(a lot of really kick-a$$ artists) if you haven't heard of that site you should check it out.

Here's a pretty good one housing 2x nvidia 8600M GT's, a 2.10ghz core 2 duo intel processor, and 2 gb ram. Vista can run just fine on 2 gb of ram when it comes to desktops etc., but these laptops are running 667 instead of the usual 800mhz+
This computer is on the broader end of your affordability. at 1599.99 but it'll run all of todays games.

And then there's this one which is perfect for what your looking for.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834114471
8700M GT nvidia graphics card,
Core 2 Duo 2.00ghz processor
3GB of DDR2 667mhz ( can run up to 4gb so the scalability and upgrade option is there )
Beautiful 17in wxga+ display (basically crystal clear picture in an outdoors)
Max resolution of up to 1440x900 which is pretty good, thats what my old monitor ran at, I'm running a 42inch 1080p OLED lcd at the moment.
And it has a 320gb hard drive, the laptop also has VGA and HDMI out, which is super nice so you can hook it up to any hi-def source
I really like those toshiba laptops they're good for just about anything as far as lappy's are concerned, and at a fair priced compared to similar price products with far less performance. If you have any other questions about computer crap you can send me a message I know a thing or two, ( I build computers as a hobby, fun stuff )
Oh, and excuse my horrible punctuation / grammar, bit sleepy and I whipped this up from what I've been planning on snagging when I need to pick up a new laptop.
Or you could go with that acer deal you posted there, thats a good computer too, depends on if you want the bigger display or not i spose.
Added: You know what, go ahead an stick with that acer, thats one helluva deal, 2.50ghz core 2 duo 800mhz FSB an 6mb L2 cache is a lot better. Totally didn't check that computer out before I posted my recommendations.
