There's only so many things that can give you a "life" by societies set standards.

Go to college and work after classes, or get a full time job.

Volunteer to do some kind of service, whether it be for animals or people, do it a few times a month on week days, weekends, when ever.

Go to the gym frequently, it doesn't matter if you like it or not, you must go.

Now either you have to get a girlfriend, and do relationship type things OR you need to start going out at least twice a week to da club or equal social area and try to bag women. Getting a girlfriend is a bit more liesurely, but the epitome of having a "life" is going to the club, dancing and hitting on women. Of course going to Da Clubz is where you should attempt to find a girlfriend, so Da CluBZ is almost a necessity for awhile.

Read whenever you can, then go to places like Starbucks or Barnes&Noble and get into intellectual conversations, it will stimulate you and those around you.

Playing video games is a big no no in the adult social world, it's slightly more accepted now a days but it's definitely not something you want to just blurt out to people. Adult world + video games right off the bat screams loser, more difficulty in gaining proper friends. Do not talk about Diablo, do not talk about WoW, do not talk about how many months you calculated you sat infront of the computer or console playing games.

Find something outdoorsie that you like doing, hiking, fishing, biking, do it as frequently as possible. If you don't like anything outdoorsie, make yourself like outdoorsie things.

Do all these things, and when you go to socialize you'll have things to talk about with people, you'll build a proper life. You must stay busy all the time and most things you do have to be constructive.

There's plenty more things to say, but it all will come along when you start building the life I gave you.

I only actually follow 3 of those, I would rather die alone and cold then live a lifestyle I wasn't happy with, I would not be happy with the lifestyle I listed because it's too busy, annoying and drama filled. But if you follow that not a single soul will be able to tell you then you don't have a life.

Personally, if I could find a minimalist healthy living cute slightly more introverted then extroverted enjoys outdoor activities video game nerd female I would die quite content.
