Nor am I saying that that you should demand money for sharing the domain, only that sharing it would be the best way for both partiesPosted in: News

D3.com should not sell this domain to them but share it. The mainpage should
have a splashscreen displaying two sides:
WELCOME TO THIS SHARED DOMAIN
Go here to Blizzard's official diablo III page
Go here to continue to the unofficial Diablo III fanpage, covering:
- Game guides and strageties
- Discussions
- Live chat
- ................
Also, the splash mainpage can could be devided into two frames (left /right or top/ feet)
so Blizzard could fill in and design their own part and D3.com just uploads their data for the
opening/ link page.

Who knows I get addicted to it then I have something play untill D3 will be reallity.
Right now Im playing God of War on PS2; one of the best third person action games on playstation. You play Kratos a barbarion who actually looks very much the same as the one in D2. On your way you also aquire skills and get to activated or update them by finding red orbs by killing demons, open chests and break stuff. Its a really cool none-stop action game and not easy too. It has some good puzzling like tombraider / Soulreaver and with every skill you activate you also get another set of combo attack moves, so there are plenty of ways to fight your enemies everytime.

Btw I dont hope the new Diablo will go down the same changes as Warcraft did from WCIII to WoW-3D. I'm not impressed by this 3D conversion but maybe thats just the style of it.

Grand Theft Auto 3, if thats what you mean by GTA3 is definitely NOT a first person viewed game. Cmon, have you even played that game?
Shooters like Doom, Unreal are but not GTA, they never have been.
But, so you want to play Diablo in first person I understand. First person mode will improve the spooky effect but in my opinion not be better in gameplay. You will have no overview on your team players for example. And from this view only a horinzontal view is possible so like I said it will be difficult to aim your spells on groups of monsters if they are behind eachother. Besides if you are viewing from the characters own view you dont see the class itself.
A switchable view mode would be an option like in Hellgate London will be the case. But not only from first person.

For Diablo's gameplay a first persons view mode is inpossible. Taken the amount of enemies you have to deal with at once, a kind of external cam overview is necesary and most probably a close behind character view mode would either not be playable in Diablo.
If Diablo would have be in FP/ TP mode it would be a whole different kind of game. How can cast spells on groups of enemies if the show up behind eachother. You need a bit of overview with large battlefields.

I wouldnt mind at all paying for a D3 as long as it is as great as D2. I truely respect the art and creativity put into this franchise. But fucking not make it pay per month. This will not leave you the freedom to play whenever you want. What if you bored playing the game for a while and after some time or years you want to start playing again and the developper has decided to close the server or something, your legally purchased game would be worthless. Once bought, I want to be able to play whenever I want indepentend of anything. Its great to discover a expanding playworld while playing the game but I rather buy an expansion pack once in a while then having to pay each month for minor updates!

Or has this thread suddenly mutated into a general chatroom about anything releated to D3??

A new version is just released, but I believe it's for 1.10 so that's why I haven't played it yet (I have no room on my hd to install D2 a second time with 1.10 instead of 1.11)
All monsters from D1 and Hellfire are put into Diablo II and charactersclasses from D1 are playable. Check out all the features on the official site here.
Sounds like fun to me. Has anyone played this yet?

Maybe an underwater level to go with it would also be a fun idea. Having your classcharacter swimming and having to conquer enemies not only around him but every direction also above you and under you. Underwater you have lot of new possibilities for enemy types and you can find treasures and ruines underwater.
Only thing is how can one breath underwater that long without diving equipment?

I would like to know the story before Diablo to know what the game would be about if it would came out. But im not really a book reader so I probably won't buy the book. Maybe you can find a ebook or pdf version somewhere.
Probably the time to make a D4 will be less then the time it took to go from D2 to D3 because the team have moved over to Blizzard headquarters, they have made a lot money on warcraft and.. the new engine for the next generation Diablo is already made for D3.
