Funny thing is... MainLurker will be whining all the way to the store to but Diablo3 upon release and then playing for a month straight stoping only for food, toilet and masturbation. Then for several hours a day for the next 6-7 months... Then he will declare the game a failure.

No, If a game is a failure, I won't even bother going to the shop I will read ppl reviews beforehand at a gaming site (I will wait till there are enough reviews from ppl not the main site reviewer cause they are biased)
Than if there are enough high rating I will bother buying.
I'm not one of those ppl who order first thing and than hope for good, I go only for successful games.
plus If I'm playing a game I can judge its worth by only playing it stright out for 5-6 hours I don't need a month (that's me only).

Lol just for the hack of it, flame away.
I thought just now of something.
Remember the 5 symbols at the opening of the site?
    5 symbols=5 games.
what if 5 symbols= types of char based on other games :P hehe
    I mean:
    barb= GoW
WD=WoW (like a troll with the mask on..)
and the others are left to be seen ^_^

Did I say something about graphics in specific? you just assumed that and trolled away.
What I said is that the overall feeling of striping the game of it's previous elements is concerning.
The half ass reply of Bioshok doesn't help one bit in relieving my troubled mind.
And all this yammering is getting old without specific to the point facts.
Overall I'm troubled but I prefer them to release 1 big focused sum of one aspect of the game (like pvp/pk) without us having to collect here and there tidbits of info and making a conclusion of our own (and i'm not happy he post in wow forum these info)

If they do 180 degree change like in SC2 (the before and after pictures) I will kiss the ground and leave it in their hands with no farther complains and worries.

They probably wanted to make D3 similar to HG:L, but blizzard wouldn't let them, so they departed and opened their own studio.

I dunno, I could be wrong, just a theory.

    I call this BS
The setting is very different, the POV and weapon types are too, need I state more?
d2 team would've never done it to their fans!

I read they made some project proposal to Irvine and were rejected and seems to be told what to do.
It wasn't for their liking the so they quit.

You wouldn't feel so depressed if you'd stop trolling at 2 in the morning and went to sleep instead. It's got the Blizzard name behind it; I'm sure it will be an amazing game with plenty of replayability.

Yea I'm sure it's 2 am IN EVERY FUC**** PLACE IN THE WORLD, get out troll.
And maybe to some of us the
    word "D.I.A.B.L.O" =/= instant win.
blizz fanboi at it's best -_- they will feed you poop and you will smile happily.

    Hi there,
I've been replying to many kinds of threads since the announcement this last couple of days.
and I feel that little by little I get more and more depressed by the general feeling of displeasure.
Not sure if it's all the hype in all the d3 forums or the vague replies from Bashiok that set the game more and more to failing, I know it's won't be like that but I already have a certain picture of the game in my mind, yes at this early stage, and it doesn't look good.
Instead of tidbits of info I prefer them to just shut the hell up till they decide things in stone and not get "maybe" "I had the bad experience..." - just don't post till it conclusive (to Bashiok).

I just wished they will release more precise data about their plans so we won't have to hang on straws and getting pissed over nothing.
I think we all needs to lay off the forums till we get such info or the hatred is going to consume us.

    Is it only me?

p.s: Sorry If my English isn't very good, I'm not native.

Sorry, but Hell Gate: London, was obviously aimed at Diablo fans hungry for a continuation of Diablo. Does a story involving hell invading earth sound familiar to you?

The game had the exact same plot and very similar character classes as Diablo. (Templar holy Auras anyone?) The HUD in HG:L was actually a variation of the same HUD in Diablo.

    http://geekskillz.com:50000/images/blog/hellgate_marksman_shot02big.jpg

Look at the health and mana bars in that pic and tell me thats not all about Diablo.

I know that the game isn't exactly a Diablo clone, it still has major differences, but it was still aimed at Diablo Fans. The fact still stands that making every waking moment color-less and/or mega gothic like in HG:L wont make Diablo a better game.

Yea It was aimed at diablo fans but It didn't deliver. Please next time quote my complete post not parts for your liking and save me rewriting X:
They were talented ppl which created diablo, I believe Diablo franchise is more theirs than Vivandi, and If they were working on d3 they wouldn't have butchered half as much as we see d3 doing now.
They were Diablo fans first and foremost not wow past players.

So they failed in their first game, trying to please the left d2 players without getting sued by blizzard or called a copycats.
They went the wrong track with s-f and 1st person view and we all know it's pure fail. plus london as background city is lousy concept.

Maybe in the config (ini) files.
I don't think in the game options.
But I truly didn't see it at first...very small change.

    Look don't compare Diablo 3 to HG:L.
    1) HG:L is new game without background lore, made with today standart gaming industy idels which are high because of the carebear kiddies 360 graphic lovers :P.
2)They didn't have the support of investors for long period of development such as D3 have. they were rushed to released half made game as I recall. for lack of cash.
    3)Fantasy>>>>s-f in today's popularity charts.
4)They HAD to make some different stuff than the formula of D3 or they would've been sued of copyright trespassing.
5)mmm what is more to say they made a very bad decision and made it 1st person view.
    6)....prob more.

posted a message on No appearance char Customization?
I so don't care about trivial things such as this...If they will make one character with no options for custom appearance I just won't give a damn(like d2), there are more pressing metters at hand such as art, colors and for some ppl pk.
Let it be the last thing on our mind about this game, than it will rock either way.
