Well, it's just the sheer amount of people having issues that scares me. It wasn't an issue with the game itself, but it was an issue with the battle.net server, was it not?

I guess I just put Blizzard on a pedestal after playing the Starcraft 2 beta and thinking "man, this is (bug-wise) 100 times better than most games out there" - Yes, I'm looking at you Dawn of War II!! And seeing D3 off to what feels like a bad start to me scares the shit out of me.

The way D3 servers work, are a lot more diffrent than the way SC2 match making and public games work though.

In house testing of all acts is going on...But its amazing how quick people are to flip out over an issue with games, this was the point of the beta. They said they didn't need the game tested, they had enough in house to do that. But they needed the systems and severs tested.

I didn't even think of that, very good connection, and I bet that is right.

If you had to ask me, I would say the major reason they did it was for Hardcore...People would use Chicken plug-ins that would start exit the game in under a second to keep you alive if it detected you were low on HP. So while it doesn't affect the masses, it is a much needed feature for that community.

Completely agree, what I was trying to say is then why haven't we heard from non F&F beta participants who are in the beta? If this guy isn't F&F he should be able to talk freely about it just like anyone else, so if other people are playing beta not F&F then they should start giving more pics and what not.

I'm sure those who are already playing it are under NDA, and grouped with F&F, and those who are flagged aren't F&F and have to wait until the beta goes full live. Thats what my take from it was though.

I believe "DM" has had the beta for a while, and has had access to it, while some of them had their accounts flagged here recently that have not been able to download or play it yet. So I honestly believe it is a mixture of both.

Ent1ty - F&F is under NDA, always has been with blizzard... Which would explain the deleted posts from the bug forums, but when SC2 went into beta(much like how wow expansion have been as well since BC) they have gone strictly no NDA once it begins.

Well the post I have quoted on my reply to the thread comes from somebody who would have no reason to lie about what they have or don't have. So for what its worth, I do believe him.

Anyways, is there anything we have about the F&F that's definitive and not just our wild speculations?

Nothing more than the random bug forum postings, couple screenshots and people saying they have it.

So the Germans are playing in North America? That doesn't make a lot of sense to me...I smell a rat.

It was said that Europeans will be playing on NA server in the start and may have issue with connection until they open EU servers.

They did the same when SC2 first went into beta from what I remember as well.

Somebody else is claming to have access to the beta as well(and playing it) on the forums... They posted..

Special privileges, MVVIP, valuable tester (had references from Microsoft), being a snitch, Warden team consultant, giving up all personal info I had on SC2 hackers/rolle3k, etc. Obviously. Don't be too jelly. My piece-of-shit of a franken-computer can't even run the client without stripping out most of the resource intensive pizzazz. Also, I have unavoidable restrictions on my account.
