Quote fromThey never said there wouldn't be PVP in D3. They just said the focus would on co-op. Man everyone has their ass cheeks in a pinch about the PvP deal. Honestly I think a lot of it has to do with greifers wanting to make sure they can kill people at portals.
Wait a sec... you misunderstand. "Organized" PvP in D1 and D2 was never acknowledged by Blizzard. Jay says in the video - they are taking more of a formal approach - meaning they will have look at each class now from a PvP perspective. Unlike D1 and D2, which was pretty much a PvP free for all and really had no sense of natural balance or a formal venue for it to take place.
Of course everyone is on edge about PvP - it's pretty much the sole reason everyone stuck around and played D2 for so long. That's why I did anyways. The fact that Jay actually said they are looking into it is a GOOD thing.

The problem is this:
AOE and crowd control.
Guns as playable weapons don't lend themselves to these much needed areas. They focus on high impact single target damage.
However NPCs, or monsters having guns is totally with in the realm of reason.

put a level restriction on the game

Look man you deserve what you get when you play in public games. Your experience can be way more rewarding by joining and clan, playing with people with liked minded interests. You're not forced to play in open channels, which is where you are going to find most of the trash.
AGAIN you stated you want to be left alone by high level players. Hello? Level restrictions? CLICK THE DAMN BOX IT ANIT THAT HARD
I have nothing against you other than the fact you seem unable to recognize that by doing simple things like making private games, having level restrictions, and playing with friends are ways avoid PKs all together AND make game play better because of it. YOU have total control.
Oh and P.S.
CAREBEAR

I couldn't agree more. Stay out of public games, stick to playing with friends, support the community of players who's values match your own... and see how fast this little "PK problem" fades into nothing?

Make a new character, go to a PvE realm. It's that simple.

So far from what I've read your biggest argument against PKing is that they disrupt your social interaction with other players. Therefore preventing you from making a lasting relationship with someone online. You're forced to roam a lonely existence from game to game wishing and hoping no one will bust in a interrupt your precious cooperative experience EVEN though you have easy, simple to use tools at your disposal to prevent this from happening. You simply cannot adapt and are left in the cold.
I am not trying to insult you. But there is a reason why the phrase "carebear" was coined and you pretty much sum it up perfectly.
