posted a message on New Diablo 3 Character Class: The Monk!
I'm gonna wait to say whether I am looking forward to him or not depending on how his skill set plays out, but I'm hopeful they make him useful to the group by forcing him to fight and be in the fray of battle.

I don't know why anyone wouldn't believe it. The guy who is in charge of the Korean site was probably working on updating the site and accidentally updated the site before he was supposed to, or didn't think he wasn't supposed to, who knows the details, all I know is that it's on their official site, so why wouldn't you believe it?

    Go to : http://www.blizzard.com/diablo3/characters/

Click the top right pulldown for language, and go to korean (the last one down). If you click the char it redirects you to http://www.blizzard.com/diablo3/characters/monk.xml, which is Monk...

posted a message on No paladins, please.
I don't mind seeing a paladin as long as they are balanced enough as to not be overpowered. And Paladins haven't always been overpowered in WoW, so it's hard to say that Blizzard always makes them overpowered, since that isn't true.

I think most people will agree that the level scaling in Oblivion was horrible. It pretty much ruined the game for me.

Did anyone notice in the trailer the floating numbers?

Yes, of course everyone saw them, but in the part where the narrator is explaining that the enviornment is destructible, and the barbarian is doing his floor shaking attack, the numbers go up in the air. It was 160 for one table, 150 for the second table.

Could we be getting experience from destroying the environment? Makes sense in that you're essentially practicing.

Those are critical damage hits.. not XP gains...

But back on topic, it's nice to see a response from Blizzard about some of the issues.

The OP wasn't talking about cheats, he was talking about a full on editor. I'm all for unlockable cheats or unlockable content, but when there are editors (or trainers) that are widely abused early on, it makes for the ladder to be boring, because everyone is going to roll the same build and play the same way as someone who has made the "perfect build" has told them to do, because they have content that shouldn't be readily available...

I think this makes the game dull, for a couple of reasons.

1.) People find super powered builds without even having to play through the game.

2.) If people can just log on and play their super powered characters, why would they need to play the actual game to have fun?

I always found that I wanted to cheat when I got bored with a game, and if Blizzard gives me access to cheat right away, it's going to make me inclined to want to cheat even sooner than I would when I get bored with the game.

It's like this... "Why am I leveling my character now, when I can just as easily click a button and make myself the level I want to be."

That's a problem of theirs. I honestly wasn't trying to push for either side of the arguement, I was just trying to give insight into why people have issues with the art direction because no one has politely discussed it.

Yup. That's the main problem with the art direction "discussions". They are shunned about because they turn into one side against the other, instead of a discussion.

I think Feste was pretty good at pointing that out.

It did at one point. But that went out the window about 3 posts in.

I would say that I agree with you, but people look at two things when they click on a thread. The title and the Author... And with the obvious stance of your view on the art direction with that signature of yours, nothing good was bound to come out of this thread.

This thread is going to decline to the same thing that any discussion about the art direction goes... I hope this gets closed soon, because it has no purpose.

Please read and enjoy. Don't expect anything even with a massive amount of signatures.

I'm sorry, but WTF is snopes and why should we care what they say?
