Quote fromr u kidden me?? hes like 60 at most. (in d2 LOL, he had white hair boney as hell) 20 years later is diablo 3. But they said he might come in the expansion. And for all we know the expansion might be another 5 years later ( in the story). So therefore he will be 85 when he is introduced in the expansion. LOL
Have you read the books? There was a necromancers over 100 years old and he was really powerful.

1. How similar will the skill tree be to Diablo 2? For example, will all characters be using Mana to cast our spells? Will we be having the same progression-type skill tree as in Diablo 2? And will synergies make a return?

In Diablo II, if you took the time to really enjoy every detail, playing it the second time around, there was a feel of 'I know what to do next. I remember this guy was here, I know I have to do this to get to this.' It didn't even take 3 or 4 completions.
How is Diablo III going to improve upon that if at all?
Decay #85 (quote/response to D3nick) (I would try to form a more concise question that encompasses these ideas)

Oooh ooh ooh, even cooler, once they go back to act one, might they find a bunch of new quests that weren't even available yet due to things happening in the story in act 2/3 causing quests/etc to appear in act one that weren't there originally ...

Can you elaborate on the skill tree system planned for Diablo 3?
Are lower level skills still going to be useful when we have higher level skills later on in the game? Or will we feel like we need to save our skill points for higher level skills?

This is a good question, I would like to also know how they will make replaying not be too similar to the first time so it doesn't feel like the same exact thing.

I do not like how most games rated M have a lot of profanity and nudity, will diablo 3 have about the same amount as diablo 2, or will it have more adult content?
I loved to collect set items in Diablo 2, but sometimes I never found a whole set, or the set was not as effective as having unique or runeword items, will having full sets be more rewarding in Diablo3? Will sets and the other kinds of items be more ballanced in power?
These aren't very good, but couldn't think of better right now.
I don't want to ask lore or story questions, because I want to experience the story for the first time when I play it, not know too much about it beforehand.
I like basekick's first question about items.

Read the Sin War for more information on Sanctuary and other lore that may be used in D3(bosses, etc.), they're good books, half way done with the last(3d) one.
EDIT: Probably already said, only looked at 1st page.

I checked out the first book in this series from the library, and after that needed to read them all, so I bought all of the next books in the set(without previewing them). Then bought her next set(Rhiannon's Ride) (without previewing them)when I finished that one(Witches of Eileannan). This set was also good.
Tamora Pierce is another fantasy author who is more for teen readers (which I am fine with, I'm not trying to read pornography just to stay away from Teen books) I believe, I like her books also. Good sets include Protector of the small, the wildmage set, the circle of magic, the circle opens, and song of the lioness.
My taste in books may be different than others though, because I grew up with two older sisters. This subsequently led to me reading some of the authors they read and being possibly more comfortable with female main characters as well as authors. I also do not mind some romance in a novel as long as it does not consume the whole story and as long as it is not graphic.
I also enjoyed the Diablo Archive, and am now reading Roger Zelazny's amber series as well as the Sin war trilogy.
I am not suggesting straight out buying these, I would not want you to waste your money on something you might not like, it would be better to check them out from a library if you can.
I have not read the wheel of time series, but have heard it is one of the best fantasy sets around, so I may try to check that out at some point in time.
Hope this helps and doesn't waste your time,

I am going to school full time, not working at all, so do not have an income(besides financial aid, which I try not to spend on anything besides school). But intend to be working after this semester. Even though it will be easy to save up enough money until the release to buy a better GPU I would rather spend less and save the rest of the money I would have spent. My computer only cost about 400 with the three year warranty I paid for, and a graphics card costing half as much as an entire computer OS included just does not seem logical to me.
In short I see spending hundreds of dollars on a GPU wasteful, and at best would get a 8800GT which costs a little over 100.
Thanks for the response, but forget I asked. I am worrying about getting a new card far too early and should be much more worried about other things. I will worry about upgradnig at a later date, and hope I will show enough control to not use the labor day sale as an excuse to by a card.
Thanks for the advice though, it helped out in the sense that it reminded me that I don't need to worry about D3 for a while and to wait a while longer to upgrade. I don't play first person shooters or RTS's so I am not worried about not being able to play newer games up until the release. I somehow only really like Action-RPG's like Diablo on PC, and games like secret of mana and other RPG's on the snes, my newest console is an N64 and PS1. Basically I am not worried about being able to play the newest most popular games.

I could get a 8600gt for about 50-60 dollars with a mail in rebate and would like some opinions as well as a suggested brand. It seems eVGA is supposed to be good. According to what I read this card would be good. As it is I may just wait it out until D3 is released or closer to when it is released. The demo (when it comes out) will also be a huge decider for me whether I will upgrade. Maybe cards will be cheaper by then also?
Thanks.
EDIT: NEVER MIND I'M NOT GOING TO UPGRADE YET.

I almost solely like to play single player, so if they made unique items really rare it would take forever to find good drops. This is because there is no trading involved, and rarity matters less on single player also because many people are concerned about having unique equips compared to other people, or that everyone will have the same gear if drops are not rare enough. In single player it is just you, it doesn't matter if someone else may have the same equips, or if many people have the same equips. So if blizzard made better items rarer it should only apply to multiplayer because you can trade, but personally for me in D2 it was really hard to get the rare advanced drops including set items and unique, so in my opinion making drops even rarer would be horrible.
I think duping or some other form of cheating may have influenced the rarity of items online, but since I do not really play on Bnet I am not sure.
