posted a message on PC game called Sacred
Has anyone seen the PC game called sacred? Its several years old, and kinda like diablo2. The sound track can get old, but the graphics are good. Its one of the few games you can ride a horse in. The open quest system allows for almost unlimited side quest.

posted a message on Diablo MMO?
I sure hope that diablo 3 / or maybe a 4 is not MMO. Because if it is, I will not play it. I might be kinda old school, but people should not have to pay to play a game every month. And the lack of a single player option leaves out a large group of players.

There are the pro and cons to MMOs, but I for one will not play them, nor will I pay monthly to do so. There are too many free games out there that I can play for free (just buy the game) instead. There are too many other games, such as Counter-strike, fortress-forever and tons of other games to play. Once a game goes MMO, it time to move onto something else.

posted a message on Diablo 1 or Diablo 2
The diablo 1 story line was much better. The story was spread out through tombs that ha to be read, and everything tied in together.

In diablo 2, you had to take a portal back to Tristram, rescue cain, then take portal back. In all, there was too much moving around, too many portals here and there.

D1 did an awesome job of tying the whole game in with the story line. You did not have to go here or there, you just played the game and got the story along the way.

The story line of D2 was kinda lame anyway.

posted a message on is diablo 3 going to be in acts?
I hope not, I never did like the "Acts" change from Diablo 1 to D2.

The game play style of D1 was much better where you had a slow change from a church to caves, to lava fields to diablos lair. D2 jumped around too much, it would have been much better if, instead of a portal, you were able to walk from one region to another and saw the area change from one to another. This would have added a whole deminsion to the game. But instead of that, the developers took the easy way out and add a portal.

Bah - no acts, just one big world with a slow transition from one part to another.

posted a message on Hello from Texas
Hello everyone my name is Kevin and I live in texas. I'am married with 4 kid and 4 step kids, work in the computer field. My hobbies include hiking, hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with my family.

I got into online gaming back in 1996 when I bought my first computer. It was a packard bell with a 75 mhz processor and 8 megs of memory. The video card had a whole one meg of ram - wow. Diablo 1 was the 3rd online game I ever played. First was command and conquer - the DOS edition, from there is was quakeworld and then D1. I still remember the sounds of Diablo 1 at 2 am on a friday night. :) Those were the days.

Anyway, I heard about the D3 announcement and decided to drop by and say hello.

To give yall an idea of what kind of fan I am, I was standing in line 15 minutes before the store opened the day D2 was released. I had reserved a copy a month earlier.

These days I have not been playing D2 that much. I thought D2 was a step backwards from D1 anyway. How can you improve perfection?
