Good one, but the friend who told me about how diablo was a hack&slash which was focused on overpowered characters, pk'ing, griefing, scamming and was a total ceass pool was actually 30 years old at the time.
I can promise you that there will be pk'ing in diablo 3, there is pk'ing in world of warcraft if anything there will be an option when you make a game to allow pk'ing but I doubt they'll add that even.

Same thing happened in SC sometimes, too. And then they'd call you a noob because you got killed by someone 3x your level. Lol.
PK means 'player kill', clicking the hostile button and going out using a waypoint or exisiting town and killing someone isn't a glitch.
TPPK is was the glitch which is called 'town portal player kill' which is attacking you going to town and hostiling they're totally different things. If you're being killed by someone who is a higher level than you who isn't using TPPK hardcore is to hardcore for you, I suggest you fine another game.
PK is going into a dueling game and hostiling everyone and fighting them using potions, town portal and possibly nk'ing them or chasing after someone who you want out of your game trying to kill them etc.
Seriously for all these innocent low levels that they're going to protect what about the jackass who won't leave the game who insists on following you around leeching drops and killing your monsters? 12 year old joins the game and starts swearing at you what then?
There is maybe 1 innocent low level who is "griefed" out of 10,000 assholes who are killed because you can hostile them.

I really never understood the draw in griefing low level players, much less lower level players in hardcore mode. I mean, that's just wrong.

For every 1000 pricks you want to kill who join your game there 1 low level who gets chased around cause they're to stupid to leave the game by a high level yeah man thats a real great trade off.

They're removing TPPK so thats a none issue... Out of all the times I've played HC and SC I rarely ever had people do that shit and if they did I would just leave make a new game or PW one it wasn't an issue compared to all the fun I've had cause I went into a game and had huge hour long chaotic fights against people.

I'd suggest for you guys to calm down and realize that they're adding proper, full fledged PVP modes into the game to replace the chaotic PKing system that was in D1 and D2.
If I want proper PvP I'll play some FPS. If I want chaotic killing sprees fucking going 1v7 I'll play diablo2. No proper pvp thanks. I play arena is fine for a while, but arena isn't shit compared to some of insanely fun stuff I've done in diablo2.

And what's the point of that? The whole point of Multiplayer is COOP. COOP is impossible if I password my game. Unless I get in friends, but most of my friends hate Diablo II.
Please start reading my posts as well as yours. I said make two sections. PvP and PvE. Seekers of danger will play on PvP, adventurers and party people will play on PvE.
I left online because of PK. I figured: what's the difference. I can't play in non-passworded games, but if I can't do that I can as well play SP. So I went to play SP.

But when I do play it, I don't want people coming over ganking me (never happened, though), there are MMORPG's with PvP areas for that. For PvP I play games that depend on your skill - StarCraft and Nox.
