While i did vote for the original D2 format i believe that blizzard should increase the amount of people per game from 8 to 16. I also think that should implement trading city style rooms where there are no dungeouns, no monsters, just the main camp(s) and up to 32 players to trade with, plus the vendors to buy and sell to.
I don't like having so many people in one game. if you increase it to 8 or higher it gets way to hard to manage difficulty. It will either be incredibly easy or stupid hard. 5 is a good number imo, especially after seeing how fast paced it was in the gameplay video.
Though I am not a fan of the current track that Blizzard is taking with DIII, I have to agree with someone who previously said in an other topic:
"Blizzard could poop in a box and it would still sell by millions"
In a way it is true, but if DIII would fail, it would not kill the crawler genre but it would cripple it.
It would sell millions. But it would die in a year. They have always made their games to last. I hope they change the WoW textures and continue to make a kick ass game
I like the color. It makes it much more of a game. I love the fact that spells are cast and look cool. I don't love having my entire environment (textures) copy/pasted from WoW. It wouldn't surprise me if I happened to enter the same damn Inn that is in WoW 4000 times.
If you like playing WoW. Basically if the environment doesn't get a serious overhaul I'll quit D3 in a couple of months. Because I would have already played it for 4+years (assuming it's release in Nov.)
Wtf Diablo 2 skill system was broken Why would we want it again? We want an improvement. I don't give a shit if it's from WoW or Need For Speed, just make it better.
I agree. Basically, if something works well...use it. I don't want it to be exactly like WoW because this is a new game and I want it to be different. But the WoW point system is good so it would be a good place to start when trying to come up with a new system. There are tons of things in D2 that transfered to WC3 and WoW that made them 'better' games it would be ashame to use the same point system as D2.
I think it would be cool if it was a full world but with all the action content instanced. So you could do it solo/party (just like a WoW instance) max 5 people per imo. But it would be nice to spend more time playing the game than searching for them in chatrooms.
6. Look sexy. A Role Playing Game is called an RPG for a reason. It means you have to amaze others with the imba lewt you have collected. Basically you will want to be wearing unisex, either solo or with your teammate, following the max-3-colors rule. You will see that monsters will simply move out of the way and be intimidated by your outstanding sex appeal. Who worries about item stats anyway? Dare to be different, and wear purple!
Integrate this into #4. when in doubt of which item to choose take the one that looks best.
I haven't changed my mind. I always like the color, the greens and blues make it scarier imo. However, I DO NOT want to see another SS/Video that shows tables/candles/chairs/carpets/railings/floors/chandelier/statue/cobweb/chest/banner/campfire that my level 70 human priest from a different universe has seen before.
Go look at diablo 1 & 2 demos and betas. They look NOTHING like the actual game when it was released, this is really stupid and this topic is long since exhausted. If this were my website id lock all these fucking threads
Good thing it's not your website then. Because no one can look at that photo and say Diablo III doesn't look like WoW. Seriously, I'm surprised that the petition wasn't demanding the resignation of all artists working on Diablo III.
Many people have been playing blizzard games for years. I first started in 1994, I've bought nearly every game they've released since then for 1 reason. They are always the best.
So in over a decade of playing their games this is the most appalling, disgusting, and downright gutwrenching feeling I've ever had for one of their games. That's because the entire Diablo III environment is copy/pasted from WoW. So don't give anyone that <1% of the game BS because every candle, chair, table, wall, railing I've seen has been copy and pasted, that should NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER happen.

Couldn't say it better myself. If I heard you say that in the bar. I would buy you a beer...or two.

Yea well it's 5am. I was basically meaning that I would be more receptive to a new art style...if it didn't look like I was playing warcraft.
