Quote fromWhere was the wizard class in D1 and D2? Oh wait...
I think some of you guys aren't taking in the fact that a spellcaster archtype was going to return. I think most people are angry because the name isn't some obscure complex name :rolleyes:.
That's what I've been saying! The Elemental Evoker of Necromantic Conjuration just sounds retarded. Wizard covers everything.

Exactly. All murder, all guts, all fun!

Which brings to mind the artificer class from D&D. Very cool stuff.

Oh, absolutely, but there is also the possibility that they come up with completely new material for the expansion. Mind you, someone here said that Blizzard is notoriously unoriginal as far as creating new classes, opting to alter current archetypes in new and innovative ways instead. I'm not sure how accurate this statement is, but it's all food for thought.
It's probably going to be a ranger, guys. A sneaky, deadly ranger.
Rogue -> Amazon -> Ranger

If not human, what?
It's not unlikely that Blizzard will build on what is has learned so far, and doing so would logically require them to include D2 and LoD as its starting point.

Oh, dude, it's TOTALLY going to be a ranger!

If the ranged character is something like your generic fantasy ranger, would that character having an aura that increases health/mana (or any other variations along this vein) fit with the theme? I think it's best to tackle questions like this and to think of character concepts before saying, "oh, I think that the character should have an aura."

That's the thing! It sounds funny at first, but it has some potential! Remember Mad Max II?
It could easily be adapted into the fantasy genre. It's not too far-fetched to expect, say, a higher level character to throw boomerangs made of pure energy (or something along those lines).

I was talking about this. It's a sick game. I'm GMing a campaign right now.
It was a South Park related joke!
