Has Anyone tested viability of Mythic Rhytm for this new spec? I suppose it wont outweight other dps passives like momentum and determination and seize the initiative?

Were the restrain + focus set bonuses changed? I dont remember being used at all in the past. 50+50% extra damage is so strong i think they will be the main thing for this spec, if we can compensate the lack of unity somehow with the new bracers.

I did some testing with mythic rhytm(MR).. it did not impress me at all... the point of MR to me is to boost your damage ...but if we play properly we do not need it... a focus + restrain combo + using the passive for + attack speed will do more for the set in terms of resource generation and spending rather than having a 40% increase spender... with good gear ( a bad furnace /any 2hander that +elemental damage ) will give you on average about 200k million crit damage ( good for T6 farming) if you want to go higher u can put in better gear like the focus + restrain and focus on getting +attack speed passives + using flying dragon to boost ur generation /usage of dashing strike...

    2. the new gems that are coming out offers us the option to increase our defensive capabilities , there is a new string of ears type of gem coming to season 3 ( i think about 35% melee damage reduction at gem level 50 ...30% at gem level 40)

combine that with our passive (25% non - physical damage reduction + the new esoteric gem ) + a string of ears + the new defensive bracers (30-40% damage reduction ... we can survive easily with out using any active skill slots to reduce damage taken

    3. most monks will want to be using gorgok of swiftness ( its now helps alot offensively and defensively with the changes to raiment as we can use it to boost our survivalbility and have better ephi uptime/inner santuary uptime/ or even to help improve our serenity uptime / we can also use the new ring of zodiac ( to increase the cd of all our random skills )

so overall monks are going to be very strong single and in groups ... i finally feel our class is getting some proper loving this season change

posted a message on Roland's Legacy Set and atk speed

i would make a suggestion of using a focus + restrain for damage + 4pc rolands and using other survival type gear such as either capt's/aughilds/cindercoat/andy/leoric/w-e

other options are to use the new zodiac ring + SOJ? i think those options will be viable as well if you want to go for a perma wrath build using provoke + AC+all the other defensive skills to get in and out of trouble... so far i see we got the monk 4 pc bonus for swk transfered over ^^

the 6 pc still seems REALLY lack luster ( especially when we will be out of resources ) we could also be possibly be low on toughness esp since we will not have perma AC and we will have to be very careful in our playstyle

posted a message on PSA: No perma immunity anymore in 2.2

sad to say that perma serenity is possible only with zodiac ( previously we needed to DW + get CDR + gorgok on all our gear to perform a Zdps role... i feel that overall monks will suffer at times but using skills like ephi + santuary we can sort of take the hits ( perhaps use of other talents and mantras will be more viable now...

but sadly the inna set is crap... the raiments = 2pc good rest no use atm ... the SWK seems to be tweaked into getting 6 set pc but no bonuses are mentioned yet... knowing blizzard they might give up some but open options to others... ... overall you do have to admit the game is being redesigned overall ( DH's getting tanky (with the new set i mean 40% damage reduction? wow ) the barbs getting aoe ancients ? lol lol lol...

looks like we will have to see whats going to happen.. blizzard normally makes changes once the global population revolts!

posted a message on Other class sets

if you played the PTR... rolands set does very well atm... it has a LOT of defensive capabilities now ( with the use of skills CD of abilities get reduced )

the new ring of the zodiac allows for faster CD for skills (at random) which means rolands can NOW have perma arkhans ( also with the new change to rolands we can also have perma laws .. concecrate... sheild glare... iron skin (50% damage reduction ) and concecrate when needed...

if you have been following certain streamers ( they have done 2 billion crits with rolands and the new sheild bash bracers ) .. i mean ur offensive and Defensive capabilites are up there now with the other sets ( its just u need to be front line and more aware ^^ )

the combination with the current focus + restrain allows the 2 bliion crts btw

if not u can go with zodiac + unity combo and live like a baws and set all ur gems to be offensive as you will be UBER defensive now ^^
