Quote fromDude, you cant cast a tp when someones hostiling you, wrong?
Well a lvl 90 probably wont play with a 60 unless hes gonna pk him, right? Thats what makes it obvius if hes a pk'er.
I never played online BTW. (And still cant.)
Wrong. You can cast a scroll of town portal ANY time you are not in town. However, you can't ENTER a town portal while you are hostile. (Or any portal for that matter)

Take a look at the OLD whirlwind animation in D2. Was it animated realistically? HELL no. Did it look awesome? HELL YES.
All of you that LIKE the direction the art is going, are either in denial, young, or have never played a Diablo game. Blizzard have said themselves that the game's art style (and BOSS style, even) are heavily influenced by WoW.
Why is this? Because the entire Diablo team, as of now, consists of the WoW team. The people who created Diablo 2 are NOT working on D3. That's right, all we have in hopes for D3 is a bunch of WoW-crazed developers who are overly proud of their WoW graphics and gameplay.
This game is going to look, and possibly feel like World of Warcraft.
It may still be fun, but it will be World of Diablo. Mark my words. In fact, i'm sigging this for when the game actually comes out.

Yup, exactly. "Looks cute! can't wait to play it!"
Sometimes I don't even know if i'll buy this game. I'll probably wait a few days for a couple reviews after release, to see if its worth my money.

Wow, you're the one, lol.
Go look up the Grandfather sword in Diablo 1 (yes, it exists there)
It looks like a Katana. It also exists in Diablo 2 as a Colossus Blade, obviously. (True fan here)
Edit: The ironic thing about this post is that the japanese sword in your sig IS the Grandfather sword. (the graphic for it, anyway)
Edit 2: I just realized you thought I was talking about D2. I was talking about D1's Grandfather.

No. You're assuming that because YOU think energy means mental energy, that Blizzard intended this as well.
I've just done my research, and in Diablo 1, the stat for mana was in fact, labelled magic.
The stat for Diablo 2 is labelled energy, obviously. This means that one can assume this represents the energy of the character, and not just the casting ability.
This being said, its impossible for you to prove that "energy" (in Diablo 2's context) means only mental energy. This is my last post on the subject (i've proven my point)

And you can say this on what grounds? (Where does Blizzard say "energy" means mental energy?)

Edit: I don't quite understand the point you're trying to make. Stamina is directly influenced by Vitality, as is life, and Mana is directly influenced by Energy. Who's to say what energy means? The universal meaning of energy is the capacity for vigorous activity, or available power. This holds true for both melee and caster classes, in my book.
Edit 2: Furthermore, I believe mana in Diablo 1 was labeled "Intellect" (Correct me if i'm wrong)
But that just further proves the developers intended Mana to be for both melee AND casters in Diablo 2.

At the same time, though, I don't want runewords granting skills that a class wouldn't normally be able to use. Everyone being able to teleport, for example. Retarded (even though I had 4 or so characters with Enigma)
I just think Barbs should be Barbs, and Sorcs should be Sorcs. No more skill sharing please.

Wanna slap me?
In all seriousness, though, I think the Samurai would be a cool class, especially because Japanese armor was around in Diablo 1. (Also, the Grandfather looked somewhat like a Katana)
I think someone has this in their sig, as well.

Well, here's the deal.
Remember those little things called ATTRIBUTES in Diablo 2? Those points that you put into Strength, Dexterity, Vitality, or ENERGY?
Well, take a look at energy.
What is it directly linked to? Mana.
Therefore, we can safely assume that mana represents the ENERGY of the character, and not just the magical casting ability. Case closed.
Also: The next time I see someone mention AoE, respec, or WoW in a Diablo 3 topic, i'm going to pull my hair out and/or slap the poster who mentioned AoE, respec, or WoW.
