I'm not sure how we can rate the development of this game as we know little to nothing about it. And everything we do know could change tomorrow.

You can release a beta for the game perhaps 3 or 6 months before release but no sooner. What's the point otherwise?

You'll find better rings than that later on. But that ring will last you a good amount of time. :)

I really need to reinstall D2 and ES and see if I was able to save my stuff or not (before my HDD crash) I have pages of rare rings.

Getting in here a little late but newer HTC devices are very good. I would recommend one to anyone.

In fact, I may be getting the HTC Eries on VZW. It's not a true Android device, but is still awesome as hell.

And so Blizzard's downfall begins. Soon they'll be making MMOs like Spore or The Sims, you know games with "broader appeal"

Exactly. IMO, series like Warcraft and Starcraft already have a broad appeal. I can understand Diablo being darker and gritter and therefore having a smaller audience. But geez...

    /agree with comments above.

The ONLY reason I saw it was because it was free and it was a screener so celebrities were going to be there and concessions were free.

Honestly - what were they thinking putting Kate Beckinsale in full winter clothing and wondering why nobody will see it. Let's change the setting to somewhere on an island instead. :P

    Two words: Shower scene. :o

But you still don't see her naked or anything. I was going to give the movie 1/10 but Kate was wearing some very nice tight undies which raised it to 3/10.

I'm still curious about the movie. So, can you spoil it for me? Since from what you said, I don't want to see it. :D

[spoil]There is a killer on a base in Antarctica. First mistake they make is revealing who is his HALF WAY THROUGH THE MOVIE. What's the point of a masked killer if you know who he is with 45 minutes of movie left? Next is they introduce a character whom the audience is supposed to suspect is the killer. It is so obvious they are doing this that you immediately know it is NOT him. Finally, the final "twist" at the end is the main character realizes that there must be an accomplice to the killings of the film. The problem with this is there are only 4 people left: 1) Main char, 2) Suspected killer guy 3) Guy who is stabbed and almost dead 4) Super friendly old doctor character established at the beginning as the main character's best friend. So it instantaneously eliminates the first 3 as the accomplice, making the final reveal boring and uneventful. You don't even care at that point. You'll just want it to be over. [/spoil]

When I was out in LA, I got screener tickets to an early release showing of Whiteout.

It was one of the worst movies I have seen in a very VERY long time. Story is terrible. There are no surprises and almost no suspense. The "twist" at the end couldn't be more obvious.

In conclusion, don't waste your time or money seeing this movie. It's not even worth renting or downloading (if that's your thing.)

I don't like the sound of "broader appeal" either. They already dumbed down WoW to hell. I can only imagine what they plan for the next MMO. :(

Ha. You guys don't have a clue. But keep guessing;)

Thanks for the input, champ.

    Anyway...

I'd still wager early 2011 because I'm optimistic. I feel like the game could really be done 18 months from now.
