Apr 10, 2009Greg_Gluebag posted a message on Fan-made Warcraft 3 / Diablo 3 game. Diablocraft III?Blizzard do you see what you're effing doing to us? Someone had to literally create the game you obviously won't! Alright I'm getting my usual nausea that sets in after about...say...10 seconds of dwelling on the fact that the game isn't out. If anyone needs me I'll be running a hot bath and getting intimate with razor blades.Posted in: News

Mar 29, 2009Greg_Gluebag posted a message on Blizzard and Microsoft Xbox? It's a good idea for Blizzard to expand to console, for example my PC as it is now can run D3 no problem but to run it at top notch performance I'll probably need to invest $400 before release, which in all honesty I don't mind doing it's time for some slight upgrades regardless of D3, I'm a 23 year old with a job though, a teen-aged gamer is gonna be hard pressed to get mom to cough up that amount of cash. You can buy an Xbox 360 for less than that right now and it's a machine that's built exclusively for gaming unlike a PC. I'm actually surprised WOW hasn't made it's console debut by now.Posted in: News

Jan 7, 2009Greg_Gluebag posted a message on Bashiok On Diablo 3 Stat Points.Blizzard is completely and totally at the point that they feel they're untouchable and the predictable end result, which is indeed happening, is that they have taken the game from the player in a successful attempt to make the game easier to manage for themselves by having a uniform player base. Why not? We'll all just buy it anyway, right? Who cares if they enjoy after they've payed their $50 for the game? After all, It'll be easier to release patches to update the characters the way they want when you completely know the build of every character in the game based on their level. Creativity is for losers that don't make a billion dollars a year, how can blizzard, being the middle-aged morbidly obese nerds that they are, go out and get laid now that they finally have all this money if they're sitting around thinking of a way to make a quality product? I have a better I idea Blizzard, why don't you just create a program that takes complete control of my character and I can just sit back and watch, just like a movie! That way neither of us have to do anything! It's sad that this is the path a company responsible for WoW & Diablo 2, argueably two of the best online multiplayer RPG's of all time (they are to my mind without a doubt) has taken. First they give you the cartoony graphics that is the little mermaid equivalent of what Tristram was, then a bigger blow, completely making the game play as ununique as possible, have fun kids....doing....ugh..well, whatever Blizzard wants you to do.Posted in: News

Yeah, but you have to consider you live in the Netherlands and that just sucks.

To say that is to ignore what Blizzard themselves have told us. SC2 holiday season 2009 and Diablo 3 sometime 2010. That's what makes since considering a game a year released as they've said.

Great suggestion, I'm quick to admit I'm not pleased with the direction Blizzard is going in a lot of other areas being both a D1 and D2 fanatic, that being said the player specific drops to encourage cooperative play was a great idea and I think your suggestion would enhance that addition a lot.

It shouldn't be changed...I don't think anything was wrong with D2 in fact the only thing I wish they'd changed was maybe adding an additional act and obviously improved graphics now that it's 10 years later. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Also, no other answer for leveling? Have you forgot about the cow lvl that served as the main avenue for exp for years?

In my agreement for porting it to console it's on the basis that they would be interactive, otherwise no good. Too many people that own both console and PC would jump ship to console, let's face it an Xbox 360 is designed exclusively for gaming where as a PC isn't. It'd end up splitting the community rather than building on it.
