My advice is this, the longer you wait the good stuff will be cheaper. Wait for diablo to get closer, then get what you want now for half price.

My computer (and ps3 and tv) got killed by a lightning storm, and i am waiting as long as i can to rebuild it bc parts worth 250 now will literally cost 50 to 100 bucks later.

yes, sadly, new games vs old games are shorter 99% of the time. Dont know why, graphics take up so much space? They think it is better pacing? Room for dlc/expansions? "always leave them wanting more"?

could be any number of reasons but it seems lately newer games have been shorter than older games.

Oh, was that actually you that asked that question? I liked it, and was also not happy at the answer they gave. If it is longer than d2 (as had been said before) then the answer should have been a definate YES, with no question... It all depends on endgame options, i personally hope there are different dungeons with different loot tables, in part, like wow, along with world drops that can drop in any dungeon.

I remember casually beating D2 in 2 maybe 3 days of casual play as necro the first time i played, maybe around 8 to 15 hours total. Hope the way they present the story will make me want to interact with it, search every corner, ect. Again, hope end game is challenging where i will want and HAVE TO gear up to beat it. End game will really show how "long" this game is, and i hope they dont just depend on PVP and say pvp = end game, wait 2 years for expansion, sorry.

NAY!!!! I loved wow when back in the day pvp gear was pve gear. If you want "pvp" gear grind for or pay for hp gear and gems.

Pretty sure Bash was just busy with April's Fool stuff and Wow patch stuff and now he is playing catch up.

its a long ass game, eventually id like to get them all to max, who knows what will help pvp/pve.

The op's concerns concern me too, have for 2+ years, nothing we can do about it really, just have to trust Blizzard knows what they are doing. One thing i fear is that they will realize that their engine is too far out of date and make a new engine : /, but the HD screenshots look good, so... im confused.

Plus you cant compare pc games to console games, I assume D3 will have more depth than "Blades & soul"

the right side of the 8 disappears makeing an E

Saying that would be a good marketing day, just like we all thought 9/9/9 would be a good marketing day (flop them around for 6 6 6) probably too early to hope for, but if it is, i win. Plus it is on a Tuesday.

I think they could care less about holiday release, look at sc2 release date. But there is not much coming out this fall, yes there is some big ones here and there like gears 3, but not a multitude of triple A titles like last year, so there is an opportunity to be had here if I thought they did care.

think about cool dates, dates that look cool, like every thought it was 9/9/09 (lawl), but others such as november 11 2011 11/11/11 (which is a friday, but still)

keep blizzcon in mind, dont think it will be before blizzcon, might hurt attendance, will probably want to announce official release date AT blizzcon "exclusively" and have enough time after to advertise that date to the public, so blizcon plus 4-6 weeks i could see, or at least a quarter they could possibly release in.

A few things

I) I have heard things happening like if you pre order from the internet receiving the game a day or 2 early
a) Risk getting the game late
If you were to get the game early could you install it?
I) Could you play it?
II) Would you get banned?

II) When you say 12:01 do you mean eastern time or in your time zone?
a) can you fake your time zone?

III) Hope it is a DL first then it unlocks somehow at 12:01, so we dont have to wait to dl then install it
a) guessing this would only be offered through blizzard.com or battle.net
