I totally agree with taking out TPs. While they are part of the game in D2 I don't think that the gameplay mechanic they represent i.e. "Hit boss till I die, use tp to get back to boss, hit him some more." is very challenging, in the sense that you don't have to think about what you are doing at all. you just spam attacks at the boss until either you or he dies. If its you it does not matter because you've dropped a tp and can just res back straight away.

I always felt a sense of excitement when doing the Ancient quest in LOD because I would be asking myself "Am I ready to take these guys on?" especially in Hell diff.

TPs worked for D2 but I don't think they would be cool for D3.

I don't think that will be the case, In many interviews Jay Wilson has said that they wish to avoid "punishing" gameplay mechanics so they will have to find some way around the problem you described. It may be that you can only join a game if any existing players are safe in the town...

posted a message on Will you make a Demon Hunter ?
I think the barbarian will be my first char then a wizard. The barb is my kind of character because his answer to every situation is "I GO SMASH!" I respect that.

I'm not sure about the 5th class it entirely depends whether its a Bard or not :P Which doctor might be fun to play but I want a run-through first with a melee character.

Not interested at all in the monk. Just doesn't do it for me baby...
