@wayne21uk you should have plenty of time. Dustin Browder has tweeted in the past that they plan on having that available for quite some time. Since it's dependent on leveling a char to 70 on Season 4, it's possible the promotion will last until S4 ends. Not guaranteed however.

He didn't "bully" anyone into posting anything
As we clarified to him over PM, we were not posting his videos and builds because (as he implied after being banned and on PTR afterwards) we thought he had left D3 for good. There are no grudges from anyone on DiabloFans against MannerCookie, and afaik he doesn't have anything against us either. get your facts straight before assuming things.
Drama aside, his content is solid. His theorycrafting has been proven to be spot on frequently in the past, and he has shown the build to work both live on stream and on the video guide. That's what matters to us.
We look to feature a good mix of information/guides for all types of players, high end stuff, mid of the road specs and more casual builds that don't have an 80 hour playtime requirement. That's why we feature from wudijo/chainer, to meatheadmikhail, to rhykker/deadset's "basic" guides. They're all targeted towards a specific audience, and as long as they have decent substance we'll continue to feature and support content creators here on DFans.

@Kren2301 news post is 3 days old, thread is 1 day old. I had seen that build as a speed bounty farming one, but I wasn't sure if it was a strong DB farming one (since this last archetype focuses on killing elites asap rather than just pure speed), but I'm glad to see more feedback that it is. Thanks for the heads-up and for your feedback!
@eldimmy thanks for the feedback. We'll try to feature better builds in the future!

@st0rmie the build is usually optimized for a specific difficulty (usually T8) with certain skill choices, and sometimes item choices as well. There seems to be a sweetspot for this specific objective in terms of damage, toughness and speed. That's how I see these builds at least. And the advantage of optimizing the farming of Death's Breath is that you can "target" your legendary drops much better than just random Rift farming.

@Tybudd his own comment on the video suggests that he would go back to Natalya once he gets better gear, so maybe Natalya's is better but his current gear made his UE slightly stronger.
After trying Natalya for a bit I went back to UE, my gear is just not ready yet but I wanted to get a ranking in. The run was very excited, with pretty bad floors one and three and only one good in between. It was definitely a pleasure to play it - and I'm slowly improving on my UE playstyle as well =)
Let's see when we can or have to do 64, hopefully I can get a couple of Hellfire Crafts in to boost my damage some more and switch back to Natalya. -

Crafting Materials have been streamlined so now they're the same from 1-70. No more 1-60 / 61-70 differences.

@gutpik I believe level 60 weapons can have up to -20 level requirement, and level 70 weapons can have up to -30 level requirement. That means that you can have access to level 60/70 damage much earlier. You can't make those drop until you have a level 70 character, but you can still craft them.
If you get a 3200 damage level 70 two-handed weapon with -26 level requirement, you can use it as early as level 44, which is a crazy boost in leveling speed (allows you to boost the difficulty to at least Torment 1-2).
@Gruffertus if I recall correctly, there was a Reddit thread back in the day with the rarity of each affix. It didn't take into account the probability of an affix rolling in relation to others, but rather an internal number that defined how rare an affix is in relation to others, and reduced level requirement was insanely rare. Similar to how some Set items have a much lower "ratio" than Legendaries, or a Blackthorne piece; and how immunity amulets are much rarer than all their counterparts.
So there's another factor to consider besides what you pointed out. Still a good tip, thanks for the contribution.

Yes, he is. The rune itself after the change isn't bad by all means, but Impending Doom is said to be better.

Like I said, we don't "promote" cheating. If anyone posts a link to those programs or ways to use them, they are against the Terms of Service and the threads will be deleted. The same can be said about screenshots (of either the players or the tools they use).
Different websites and boards tolerate different levels of exposure. Some other fansites ban people for just even mentioning these programs. We think there's only so much we can do to "hide" them, so all we do is prevent people from posting instructions, links and screenshots. As a discussion board first and foremost, we do allow people to (!) discuss the subject.
Again, as long as there are no insults or name/shame involved. We do not condone that. It is not allowed. Period. And whoever isn't happy with those rules can just leave. Nobody is required to be a part of the community, but if they want to, they must abide by our rules.
As for content featuring on the front page, like I said we're always open for feedback - but even if those players use methods you do not condone, there's probably still something to learn from the video. That's the intent, show players who don't watch these streams a chance to compete and at least appear on the leaderboards (and judging from past comments we succeed at that).
Btw, I've merged your posts for the sake of clarity.

We don't ban people who "talk" about it, as long as they don't put personal attacks, insults, name and shaming in between their otherwise legit post. We also do not remove any post exposing it, we do remove duplicate threads and posts which say the exact same thing for the 100th time and which adds nothing to the discussion - and serve only as a place for people to flame those people.
There's no point in discussing whether or not they bot or use THud. That's up to Blizzard to decide and act upon. There's absolutely zero purpose in discussing this from a community point of view, other than vote and reach a consensus on whether we approve or disapprove it. But as far as taking action, nope we can't do anything.
The reason we share these gameplays is so that people can understand what the players at the very top look for in terms of GRs, and how to actually engage the enemies in these GRs, as well as seeing what can go wrong (when they die, in some cases).
Thanks for letting us know you don't enjoy these videos - I try to take viewer feedback into account as much as possible.

I think the intent is more like giving players who missed the set one last chance of getting it. Specially with how much Patch 2.3 and Season 4 are to be compared to the first few Seasons (some claim this is the first true, varied Season).
I'm not sure how I feel about it. I'd probably prefer to see the dedication be rewarded and keep the transmog exclusive, and would love to get the first few pieces of a new transmog set.

^ this is important to keep in mind.
The real problem imo though is stacking multiple set bonuses that may be considerably more powerful than the added power from a better Ring (like an Aughilds or Captain Crimson bonus). It's hard to have rings that compensate having the bonus of two other sets (which wouldn't be possible without RoRG).

Please don't use all caps in thread titles. I've fixed it for you, just bear that in mind in the future.

Happy to see everyone getting ready for it and excited about playing D3 again!
Optimus has a message for you...

^ I agree... that's the main reason why we try to bring visibility to these. Sometimes bugs like these will be reported on forums and will go ignored for months on end, but when 90% of the playerbase is aware of it, and willing to use it, that's when the devs usually solve it pretty quickly.
It could be already live and the hotfix thread that hasn't been updated. It has happened before.
But either way, there might be other similar leveling methods, and we can only hope they can extend the same hotfix to other quests as well. Should be easy enough to be done until tomorrow.
2
Yeah, I guess if they want to solve the issue for good, they need to apply the hotfix (reducing subsequent experience gains from turning in the same quest) for all quests, not just "The Broken Blade" as it is expected.

You have no idea how much spam happens every second. What most people see is barely the tip of the iceberg, with a few hundred threads/accounts being created and spammed every minute. With great traffic comes great spam A more permanent solution is being worked on, though. Moving this to website suggestions.

I'm removing the crowdfunding links, though. Don't post them again. Not gonna allow that for now.
Edit: oh well, doesn't look like there's any interest from the OP in "debating" anything. Gonna delete/lock this.

It's been a while since I last added anyone to the clan. And that is because it's been a while since I even played the game - quite a few months. I just got burnt out really fast at the beginning of Season 1 because of my chosen class, the Wizard. Pair that with lots of real life events, and you can easily figure out why the US DFans clan has been somewhat "inactive" from an admin pov. Ideally you'd want me to manage the clan from both a Seasonal and Non-seasonal aspect, but it's just not in me dedicating the time for that unless I'm logging in to play.
Either way, for Season 2, I'm looking to remove inactive players from the clan (as was done when RoS launched) and make sure we have an active roster. For that, I'm probably gonna check applications on this thread that go back a couple weeks at most, to make sure we're adding actually active players to the roster. I may even archive this thread and make a new one for Season 2.
So that's it, wanted to give a heads-up to everyone. Feel free to contact me through PM if you have any further doubts on this, and thanks for your understanding and patience.

But every now and then the bots will switch their formatting, or the text, and then the anti-spam measures take a while to kick in. In these situations, I usually mark 10-20 threads "as spam", to help the anti-spam bot pick those up. Taking a quick look at my "recent actions" on the website, I've marked a few hundred threads/profiles as spammers recently, and I've gotten pretty quick at that (can mark 10-20 all at once), but no matter what I can't stay here all day watching it.
That's why every now and then you'll see things go a little out of control. It's a mixture of the spammers adapting to the anti-spam measures and lack of manual control by us (well, me, since most mods aren't really active or can't deal with this, and Bagstone is afk for a few days).
Just thought you might want to know how things work from our perspective. In regards to actual changes to policies, or doubts on website coding and support (like why MMOChamp or Hearthpwn don't suffer these), you'd have to ask Molster - he's the one in charge of those and who actually has knowledge on that. I know almost nothing about Cobalt and the DFans/HPwn/MMOC structure.

While we try to solve this, I'd recommend our users to ignore those and not give them the "clicks" =/ gonna close this thread since it's not related to D3.
0
If possible, though, I'd like to suggest that users only flag a spammer once (and preferably the account/profile, not the threads). Once a profile has been identified as a spambot, marking it should remove all of its threads, so no reason to mark all of those.
We've had like 5-10 reports on the same users (due to multiple threads), and it takes longer to check them one by one than it takes to actually ban those users. And it has to be done to ensure nothing gets left behind.
Just figured it would be something worth letting you guys know. And again, thanks a lot for the help!
