Quote fromExactly! Let's hope we get something like this for Diablo III by the end of this year! *hoping*
i wouldn't say a D3 beta at the late end of the year would be out of the question, it was said that it's in the alpha phase already... keep your fingers crossed
p.s. i opted in too!

It's primary function is using movement speed and mobility tools to round up your prey. Softening them up with strafe as you do it and get the packed as tightly together as you can before using cluster arrow.
Smoke screen and fault are there in there in case you back your self into a corner. Combining them and evasive fire with tactical advantage can nearly ensure a 60% movement boost for the start of every encounter.
Grenader is used to help keep hatred topped off allowing Hot Pursuit to remain active longer.
Entangling shot with it's Chain gang rune is used to help keep more monsters where you want them at any time
I decided to go with the loaded barrel rune on cluster arrow because with everything being so tightly packed i wanted that initial impact to really do serious damage to everything you have grouped up.
Strafe has it's drifting shadow rune to increase movement speed for faster evasion of enemies while still chipping off life before cluster arrow.
So that's the most creative build i could think of, I feel it's a build that requires a middle level of skill to use and will keep a Demon Hunter from getting overwhelmed quickly.

You will surely understand that I have certain needs that you, being
54 years old, can no longer satisfy. I am very happy with you and I
value you as a good wife. Therefore, after reading this letter, I hope
that you will not wrongly interpret the fact that I will be spending
the evening with my 18 year old secretary at the Comfort Inn Hotel.
Please don't be upset----I shall be home before midnight.
When the man came home late that night, he found the following letter on
the dining room table:
My Dear Husband ,
I received your letter and thank you for your honesty about my being
54 years old. I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that
you are also 54 years old. As you know, I am a math teacher at our
local college. I would like to inform you that while you read this, I
will be at the Hotel Fiesta with Michael, one of my students, who is
also the assistant tennis coach. He is young, virile, and like your
secretary, is 18 years old.
As a successful businessman who has an excellent knowledge of math,
you will understand that we are in the same situation,
although with one small difference- 18 goes into 54 a lot more times
than 54
goes into 18.
Therefore, I will not be home until sometime tomorrow.

i understand what you are saying about act 1 becoming useless, but isn't that what nightmare and hell modes are for?
in the system you propose there is no sense of your character becoming more powerful because the dificulty ratio between the character and the monsters remains the constant. I lends little satisfaction to somone playing a game where one of the primary focuses of the game is the gap in power between player and AI.

I'm in the same boat as you, quit from bordum. and you hti the nail on the head here, to little content for the dificulty level. Raiding has become a joke in that game... when you can PUG the only 25man raid and clear the entire thing you know blizz fucked up with balancing everything... Blizzard siad 25man would be "hard mode" there's NOTHING hard about a 25man raid vs. a 10man and the gear is marginaly better. there should be such a vast difference between 10man and 25man raids that there's an actual incentive to try hard mode.
back in the TBC days i would have been amazed if a PUG took out Vashj or KT, the fights were damn hard back then and that's the way it should be, there was 0 sense of accomplishment in any of the early wrath raids, i never got to see uldar but i wouldn't be suprised if it was the same as the entry lvl raids.

it's possible but i'd say you have a better chance of getting jessica alba to fall in love with you.
if they were to do that it would nullify the point of beta testing, it's not just a process to balance class and moster mechanics but also make corrections in the story line, quests, npcs, ect.
i'm not saying it's a bad idea, it seems like that's what alpha testing is tho.

regardless with auto-statting i can't really see another method for gear requirements aside from maybe glasses useing gear that they shouldn't (wiz in plate with a 2h axe) get some serious minuses.

now take those classifications and give each class limmitations... i.e. wizards can't go beyond robes but the barb can use any armor. The WD can use staffs, clubs and axes while the wizard can use staffs wands orbs and swords.
take these limmitations and put level requirements insted of stat requirements on the loot and vola new gear system.

i like the level of detail and thought given to skills (i.e. locust swarm leaving only bones)
i like all 3 classes (so far)
i like that they are really taking their time to produce a "blizzard level*" product.
*a quality of game that is far supirior to others being released in the same generation
