Spore was one of the most disappointing games ever made...
Sims is okay but wears its welcome out too, unless you're really really into that kind of stuff.

Quote from "Zyon" »i agree, to most ppl a f2p mmorpg with cash shop and other pay features is more appealing than the monthly subscription of wat wow offers
1. more spare time, if u subscribe to wow, for say 2 months, most likely u'd want to make best use of the 2 months by playin nonstop so u squeeze every bit of juice out of the buck u paid for, leading to: parents yellin, reduced schoolwork quality, reduced reallife social
2. 'u may pay' is always better than 'u must pay'
ps: wat u guys think the next mmorpg will b? i vote on 'World of Starcraft' lmfao
Quote from "Seth" »scyberdragon, the reason most people, including myself, like that it's back is because of nostalgia, I think.
Quote from "Phrayed" »What are you talking about?
I'm the one arguing that it is a fantasy game... That you SHOULD be able to kill Diablo with all of these crazy skills and spells that are in the game.
Diablo isn't a realistic game. His original point was that Diablo looks like a 'pussy' when he dies to martial arts or toads... And I simply do not see why that is the case, which is why I am questioning his complaining about the monk and his skill set.
Quote from "Phrayed" »I'm simply trying to debate what you are saying... Because it makes no sense.
You like Diablo 2, you can kill Diablo in that game by summoning wolves... Does that really seem like Diablo is a 'pussy' if he cannot kill some wolves? And you can kill him with martial arts as well... There are several skills I named that seem like it make the Prime Evils look weak for not being able to overcome them.
Yet now that very similar things are in Diablo 3, you don't like it. Seems hypocritical to me, like you are just looking for something to complain about.

Hitting stuff with a hammer would be fun.

Definitely a good reason

The white textbox is probably a missing file in the skin dir somewhere. I've worked with/admin'd many a forum running vBulletin and can tell you new skins/layouts rarely work perfectly from the get go. There are almost always small to medium adjustments that have to be done, from the logos/frames being off by a few pixels to missing image files to wrong colors in places.
I'll say again that I like the new layout a lot, and am sure it will be polished over the next week by whichever admin's job it is to do that.

Welcome. I joined for pretty much the same reason today

edit: although, you could rework the top nav bar to mesh a little better with the rest of the page, especially when on the Forums, BlizzTracker, and Blogs pages.

This is a good idea and I'm betting we will see it implemented to one degree or another, since, like you said, D3 aims to be a faster-paced game than its predecessors.

The space on the bottom is meant to get filled up with potions, scrolls, charms, orbs, tomes, and such, I suppose.

Exactly
So far it seems like D3 will be more of an action rpg than D2, which is a great thing. The more things we have in the game to promote constant action and fighting, the better.
Potions do that in their own way, too, but they are a cheap tactic when used in large quantities.

Blizzard HQ sounds like an amazing place.

Don't forget how long balancing takes. Blizzard is not going to tweak even a single skill without extensive playtesting.

Anyway, I found a link to this in my mailbox today from some sc2 website I registered at a long time ago.. looks like they will be doing a semi-live stream of the Blizzcon Virtual Ticket.
http://starcraft2.pro/blizzcon-virtual-tickets
The link goes to an announcement with a link to their Twitter page, which is where they will be posting everything, I suppose.
If there is actually going to be video, then this, combined with the live chat on this site (which I think is awesome and look forward to!) should be almost enough to satisfy our blizzcon cravings.
