I could hold my breath for over 4 minutes when I was a kid, but then I got asthma which fucked it all up.

I envy the people that can hold their breath for half an hour... It is rly to push your body to the limit. It would be so awesome to show it off :P

    A little off topic maybe...

This is off topic, but..........half an hour? Where did you get that info? 30 min is just humanly impossible.

    Here is what I found:

On April 30, 2007 David Blaine was on the Oprah Winfrey show, not just for an interview, but to also make an attempt to break the record for the world's longest breath hold of 16 minutes 32 seconds set by Peter Colat.
David Blaine did beat the record, spending a soggy 17 minutes 4.4 seconds in an acrylic bubble filled with water.
But.......Although David Blaine's record is recognized by Guinness, it is not recognized by the free diving community due to the fact that he spent 23 minutes breathing pure oxygen before his attempt.
From Wikipedia: Static Apnea should not be confused with the Guinness World Record for holding the breath underwater. Guinness allows inhalation of oxygen prior to the athlete's performance, while such inhalation is strictly forbidden according to AIDA's rules for the recognition of records para 3.9.
According to AIDA, the record for the longest breath hold is owned by Tom Sietas at 9 minutes 8 seconds which he accomplished in Hamburg, Germany in 2007.

    His beard is just.. MAGNIFICENT!

The character of Lu Zhishen has always been known for his crazy beard, addiction to alcohol, meat and reckless wild abandon in battles.

I have absolutely no clue where you got your absurd idea that the monk class has any influence at all from the Eastern Orthodox religion.

From his style of clothing, weapon of choice, facial features and the wild beard he is clearly from the northern branch of the Shaolin temples in China, heavily influenced by the legendary fictional hero Lu Zhishen from the Chinese classic literature Water Margin.

To show you the resounding resemblance:

the monk armor should be as epic as barbarian armor in fact all classes should be able to look as intimidating and armored to the core. every class should have the epic quality in armor class.

    No. Just, no.

    Sadly, you're right.
I still haven't found a game thats 100% hack free.

Online games for PS3 are 99.99% hack free, I have been playing for 2 years now and I have never encountered a single hacker, and I play the popular titles like COD4 very often.

Okay this is complete BS how the only games i see that have demos out are games aroudn the corner cause their for consoles and all console games get released the year they are announced. Blizzard does this TO GET FEEDBACK.They actually listen to their fans unlike bungie or infinity ward they don't give a shit about the fans they just care bout selling out the shelves. The console games are always shown aroudnthe time released is just to let everyone know its coming. IF D3 was strictly console and they did it the way a normal game would be released you wouldn't see all these changes being made you'd have what was planned for from 2006 and thats it. But since blizzard actually cares about us they show us the game everytime they advance so we can help them improve their game AKA one of the reasons everygame they've ever produced has been so sucesful it's what the fans want not what the Devs thought were cool

You think if Bungie and Infinity Ward stick their nose high up in the air and ignore the output of all their fanbase they would have created two of the most successful FPS series of all time?

You are a complete moron. You also sound like a suck up and tool for Blizz.

I think blizzard has put too much stock into blizzcon and showing a playable demo of D3, I mean why bother if it's another 2 years off... all that wasted time and effort to show off a game that's far from completion, usually when a company has a playable demo to show off the game is usually just around the corner... just a big tease if you ask me... granted all the diehards will be soaking up any new info/screenshots/gameplay vids etc but for the casual player that has never heard of the diablo franchise before is going to be like what!? another two years!?!? talk about pre-mature hype.

I agree. Makes no sense to create such an exhibition spectacle if the actual game is about 2 years away from release.

I think auto-stat distribution is awesome. i hate realizing hours down the line that for optimal performance, i should have spent points in a different stat. GO AUTO-STAT, WOO! As far as their significance, i would like to know them even though we can't control them b/c if you like to play around with the math, you can see what exactly stat modifiers do for you and what to get next, etc.

50 bucks bet you are 16 years old or younger.

posted a message on Diablo 3 story line going to be EPIC!!
I'm not so sure about this.

Since Blizz already clearly stated that gameplay will be prioritized above all else, lore and the plot will always come behind it. It means if the story is crappy and sh!t but it compensates with great game play, they will do it.

    And Blizz isn't Bioware.

Implement auto-stat distribution to D3 is a HUGE step backwards.

We don't need World of Diablo.

If you honestly think D3 will do bad in sales then you need to get a mental evaluation....

And past success generally means future success, especially in established companies.....
If you can show me one example of a company who is world renown for being incredible and has a product that was anticipated for more than 10 years and failed miserably, be my guest. But if you can't, it proves your wrong.

I can name several giant letdowns of sequels in a famed franchise made by world renown companies right off my head: DMC2 from Capcom? Super Mario Bros 2 from Nintendo? Driver 3 from Atari?

And the so called "10 years" long anticipation isn't actually what it's cracked up to be. In all honesty it just creates a larger generation gap between the older 20 and 30 year old gamers who have previously played D2 and D1, and the younger generation of teen gamers who are new to the Diablo series. It simply varies and diversifies our demands and expectations of the game, which isn't always a positive thing.

Are you smokin' rocks? It's the biggest indication of future success...... and :offtopic:

No I'm not smoking rocks, as if it can actually be done. But are you?

Past success is the largest indication of the hype a product will build, but not a repeated success in the future.
