Ever since I obtained my first Baleful Remnant and finished my Akkhan set bonus I've been striving hard for a build that works using a swarm of Avatars spawned via killing trash mobs. At times it seems to shine tremendously and be a whole lot of fun. Then as I start to move up through the rift levels I see their damage waning quite a bit. I've only just started using Baleful Remnant and I know it's been in game for quite some time, as has Eternal Union. I'm sure others out there have seen this combo and tried to utilize it, so I decided to see what people think.
I myself have been using Baleful Remnant, Tasker and Theo, and RoRG slotted in my cube, and a 5-set of Akkhan. My jewelry, bracers, belt and pants have been changing around a lot to try and find the right damage output. I haven't actually got my drop of Eternal Union yet, much to my frustration. My weapons and skills bounce around a lot until I can find the best damage output to accommodate the way this build works.
(I'm always updating a WiP build page, until I get the prime setup for this)
Also, I know the best damage output using Phalanx is the Stampede build using the Strongarm Bracers and I know that in higher rift levels a WD is going to out DPS any 'sader with a pet build. I'm just trying to find the best combination for an Eternal Union/Baleful Remnant/Armor of Akkhan build.
What are your guy's thoughts on this? Have you tried using it before? What have you been using with this gear?
