They could 'escape' whenever they wanted before. It was just a hike back to town, and if that's what they wanted to do, they'd do it - portal or not. Say you're out of health potions and know you're going to need some because a super tough boss is coming up that always murders you, you're more likely to trek it back to town than throw yourself against it and risk multiple durability losses. Really all it does is make it less annoying to get back to town when you need to, but, getting back to where you were is still going to be a chore. Waypoints are spread out enough where if you peace out near a boss you're going to have a decent walk ahead of you to get back to where you were, which is why it's best to enter a dungeon prepared than to rely on the stone of recall to jump back to town midway through.
As far as I've understood, since they are using real money that is unique to geographical region, you can't just "play on another country's server" for legal reasons. Either that or the AH you use is strictly dependent on your location. Or something. Thought I read something to the effect on the 8/1/11 interview about it on the main page. Too lazy to find a quote.
How are Europeans able to play in US servers and vice versa?
They will buy US version of the game because their purpose is to sell to us.
The Chinese farmers will now have to compete with everyone else on Bnet selling items, there will be a point were the companies can't go any lower, but the masses of individual people on Bnet still can, and will probably be more willing then a company.
And even if they match the prices, there is no guarantee that the item bought are from chinese farmers. Masses of people that play Diablo 3 will be selling items as well.
This is the reason why I can see Chinese farmers not even touching Diablo 3. I don't know why they would bother to be honest, there are plenty of other games where they completely control the market. There is going to be to much competition in Diablo 3 to make it viable for them.

RMAH will bring them more clients than they can ever imagine. There is no way we can out farm items more than these people who play 20 hours a day. I like the fact that it will teleport you to your buddy, but I don't like the concept behind it. How does a banner teleport you? Unless when you choose to teleport, it opens a quick town portal next to the banner or something.
There is no way to stop China Farmers from entering the US or any other market. Its happening in real life too if you haven't notice. China is the biggest exporter in the world. We just gotta accept the facts. They will be the driving force that will make our items cheaper for us in reality and now Diaaabllooo 3.
Anyways like you said, sharing(means having more than one player in the game) will increase your chance of your "problabilty"(lol) because you will get gear faster by killing stuff faster.
Say what? Sharing items instead of selling them will be economically pointless and not increase your gearing speed. Playing in a party will increase your gearing speed because it will increase your killing speed.

I like the fact that the gem is almost nearly impossible to get. It adds value to end game content and it something other than farming for the baddest weapon/equip item in the game.
No one is going to be making 19,000+ gems to get a LvL 14 gem because we all are going to TRADE. It's going to be a lot easier to attain in the game because everybody will have gems and trade them away. However I'm guessing a LvL 14 Gem will be worth as much or maybe more than an end game rare item.
