What I'm afraid of is release day issues. If the servers are having problems on Tuesday I will just cry as I took that day off work...
That is one factor to note but I think Blizzard is more than prepared with their servers and hardware to handle most of the load on release day. As they've said, they had over 2 million Beta testers and I don't know if that included the millions more that played during the 3 day Open Beta weekend testing period.
Although I do remember that during the Open Beta, they slowly and casually let in a sizable number of players at time intervals to see if the servers can handle the load of players logging in. Also during that Open Beta weekend, Blizzard had to do a lot of system maintenance at times for long periods of time, and I don't think they wasted all those hours for nothing... so, bottom line is, I think Blizzard is as prepared as they can be for release day.
Some people are luckier than though, since I bought the CE and the Fry's store wont open until 8am, I wont be able to play until around before 9am when I get back home. Still, those people would only be ahead of me in game play by 9hours which I surely would regain with my continuous play for 2 days.
Yes, that's right. I took 3 days of work starting Tuesday so that I could accomplish a lot playing only Diablo III until Thursday evening for I have to get back to work on Friday morning. I'm all pumped up and excited to finally play my 3 day marathon. :)

    Quote from Gekkeloko

laptops aren't really upgradeable and run out of batteries :P
That's why I'll be saving up for a new one, which already has the most updated parts that you wouldn't need to upgrade for a very long time. Hell, I think at 15 Hundred dollars, this new piece of equipment can kick butt and trash most of the upgraded desktop computers of a lot of people out there. The MSI GT60 0NC is equipped with the Ivy Bridge quad-core processor, Full anti-reflective 1080p HD, 12GB RAM, 1.0TB Hard Drive memory space and one of the best graphics card, the NVidia GeForce GTX670M with 3GB of dedicated graphics memory.

For the battery issue most people are claiming, just like desktop computers which you use plugged in all the time to a wall socket outlet, I don't ever use my laptop with the batter in it. I always use it plugged into the wall outlet because I know I would be using it for hours straight. The battery of my laptop is still in the bubble wrap it came in with. I have never used it even once for the 2 years now that I've had my laptop. People who use their laptops with the battery in and always has the adapter plugged in the outlet is basically always overcharging the battery of their laptops and shortening the battery life.
Just think of it this way, when you use your cell phones or i-Pads or i-Phones or game boys plugged in the wall outlet all the time? No, right. You only have it plugged in whenever you are charging, and after it has charged you unplug it already.
So, why would a laptop be any different??? You should only plug in your laptop whenever you are charging the battery, otherwise, unplug it already. Whenever you overcharge these electronic device, what you are actually doing is just shortening the device's battery life. So my advice, if you plan on using your laptop for hours on straight, just take out the battery from the bottom of your laptop and just use it plugged in the wall outlet the whole time.

posted a message on 4 Days Left Before The Big Day, So Are You Ready? Have You Rigged Up A New Gear?
Just 4 more days left before the long awaited release of the 3rd sequel to the Diablo gaming franchise.
Question is, are you ready? Have you recently rigged up a new set of gears and accessories to be able to face Diablo's demonic hoards from the burning hell, or are you just using the same old piece of metal you have set-up. It may not matter which one you have but if you wanted a gratifying first time experience and fluid gameplay, I would suggest you make sure that your computer has a decent graphics card especially for people using laptops. You may think you have a high end laptop because you base it on the manufacturer (Apple, Toshiba, Dell, Sony... etc.) and you bought if for a lot of money, but hey if your laptop computer only came with an integrated graphics card, you are deceiving yourself. You can only expect your laptop to perform well and have decent graphics if it came with a dedicated graphics card.
The first thing a person buying a laptop should ever consider when buying a laptop is "does it have a dedicated graphics card" so that I could use it for gaming and graphics software (like CAD).

As for me, I like mobility so I prefer using my laptop. I never got to set up a desktop computer because I don't have a lot of extra space in my room, plus I'm always out of the house. With my laptop, I just need a decent WiFi connection and I'm good to go. I always play during my breaks, it may be for an hour or two. I can play at a local Starbucks, at Mc Donalds, at a corner in the Library, in hotel lobbies, at the airport, and even on the road using a WWAN verizon connection while my wife is driving.
I'm using a MSI GT683R laptop computer with all it's fancy lights. It's a fairly good gaming laptop, but just this April, NVidia just released their newest and fastest video card to date, the GTX 690. Although they still don't have a M version for laptops out, they do have a M version for the 3rd to their newest card, the NVidia GTX 670M which is installed on the newly released MSI GT60 0NC (15.6" laptop) and the MSI GT70 0NC (17" laptop).

I'm not a tall guy so a 15.6" laptop is just the right size for me. I don't want my back to suffer lugging around a 17" or 18" laptop. It also makes me happy that for the very first time, MSI put out a 15.6" laptop that has a full-color programmable backlit keyboard by SteelSeries. With their previous laptops, the SteelSeries gaming keyboard only comes on their 17" laptops.

To give you guys an idea of what power the new MSI GT60 has, here are the specs of the laptop (This would almost be the same with the GT70 except for a bigger screen and more Hard Drive space using Solid State Drives):
    Intel® Core™ i7-3610QM Processor (3rd Generation; the newest)
    Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 64bit
    • 15.6" Full HD Anti-reflective Display (16:9; 1920 x 1080)
    NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX670M discrete graphics (GDDR5 3GB VRAM)
Full-color programmable backlit keyboard by SteelSeries
    Killer Game Networking
    1.0TB (7200RPM; 500GB x 2 in RAID 0)
    12GB DDR3 1600MHz system memory
    • USB 3.0 for high speed data transfer
HDMI 1.4 (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) output
    • Built-in 720p HD webcam
Gold flashed audio jack ports with amplifier
    • 802.11 b/g/ n Wireless LAN with Bluetooth

Some people might argue that a desktop computer is best for playing games, but I would argue back that with the MSI Cooler Boost Technology, MSI's gaming laptops are the better choice. Armed with my Logitech G330 gaming headset and my Logitech MX Revolution rechargeable cordless gaming mouse, I can play Diablo III anytime I have free time anywhere I may be. I just need to look for a place with free WiFi connection. And when I'm home, I just hook-up the HDMI cable, then I get to play either on a 27" monitor or my 46" LCD TV.

Oh, tips for those who aren't aware... just like desktop computers which you use plugged in all the time to a wall socket outlet, I don't ever use my laptop with the batter in it.

Although I have no plans yet of replacing my current laptop, I would be on the lookout for when MSI puts out a 15.6" gaming laptop with the newest NVidia GTX 690M installed in it. So now, I'm preparing for when that time comes by setting to save up to $2,000 in the next six months time.
Hopefully, they'll have that new 15.6" laptop with the SteelSeries gaming keyboard and the NVidia GTX 690M installed in it out by Thanksgiving, and by then I would be able to get one.

So, what's it for you? Are you ready and geared up for Diablo III?

LAN Party??? Are you seriously not up to date or are you just trolling?

Diablo III is on-line only game. So even if your friends are at their place as long as you guys have created and shared your BattleTag IDs, you would be able to find and play with each other in game on release and the days there after.

Wake up foo... dream all you want but Diablo III is not a LANable game. Bottom line is, YOU ALL HAVE TO BE ON-LINE.

posted a message on Just 8 Days More To Go... On May 15 What Will You Be Using, A Laptop Or A PC?
    The all new MSI GT60:

    Specs? Click the link: http://www.msimobile...etail.aspx?id=7

Price tag? Click the link: http://www.msimobile...px?cid=9&id=356

With just 8 days to go, are you set up and ready to go? Have you rigged up a new set of gear?
Are you planning to use a laptop or a PC?

I don't usually have time to play at home since I'm out most of the time so I prefer portability to power against other people's judgement. Basically, I didn't bother building a desktop computer and instead I have always used my MSI GT683. Though this is quite a nice laptop, this is not the latest laptop MSI has out there.
The latest one they have is:
    Product Number: 9S7-16F311-004 ... GT60 0NC-004US
    • Intel® Core™ i7-3610QM Processor
    Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 64bit
    • 15.6" Full HD Anti-reflective Display (16:9; 1920 x 1080)
    NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX670M discrete graphics (GDDR5 3GB VRAM)
    • Accelerated performance with MSI TDE Technology
Full-color programmable backlit keyboard by SteelSeries
    • Killer Game Networking
    • MSI Cooler Boost Technology
    • Dynaudio Premium Sound Speakers with THX TruStudio PRO™
    • 1.0TB Hard Drive (7200RPM; 500GB x 2 in RAID 0)
    12GB DDR3 1600MHz system memory
    • DVD Super Multi
    • USB 3.0 for high speed data transfer
    • HDMI 1.4 (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) output
    • Built-in 720p HD webcam
Gold flashed audio jack ports with amplifier
    • 802.11 b/g/ n Wireless LAN with Bluetooth

Now that Diablo III is finally here, my next project is to save up $2,000 with money I plan to earn from the RMAH and soon replace my old laptop when MSI finally releases a new laptop equipped with the newest NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX690M GPU.

With my laptop, I'm not bound to stay at home all the time whenever I'm playing Diablo III. I could always bring my laptop everywhere I go. I could play in a corner at a local library, whenever I'm at a Starbucks or some other coffee shop, at the airport or in a hotel lobby.
Armed with my Logitech MX Revolution Rechargeable Cordless Laser Mouse & my Logitech G330 Gaming Headset, I could basically play anywhere to my heart's content, and not be in a hurry to get home to a desktop computer like some other people.

For 17" laptop lovers, here are some suggestions for you:

128GB solid state drive + 500GB(7200rpm) hard drive

128GB solid state drive + 750GB(7200rpm) hard drive

    64GB SSD + 64GB SSD RAID + 750GB(7200RPM)

posted a message on Upon Release, Passive Skills Wont Unlock Until You Reach Level 20, 30 & 40 On The Retail Version... What Say You?
So, I was customizing my character build using the Skill Calculator, when I noticed a new update Blizzard made on the Passive Skills. It turns out that instead of the skills unlocking at levels 10, 20 & 30, it will now unlock at levels 20, 30 & 40. I guess this is a good way to encourage players to play on through the Nightmare difficulty level, what say you?

Blizzard said that in their internal Alpha & Beta testings, a person is bound to finish the Normal difficulty at around his character leveling to 30. So by the time you finish the Normal difficulty level, you have already unlocked 2 of the 3 Passive Skills. Unlocking the 1st passive around midway of Act II of Normal difficulty and unlocking the 2nd passive somewhere around Act IV. Now, this accomplishment would either push you to go on and continue discovering new items with the harder adventures of the Nightmare difficulty level or the experience of getting to level 30 would have cowed you to spurn the Nightmare difficulty level and be contented in just farming for lower tier items in the Normal difficulty level. You would do this and go on runs and farm for better stuff until the time comes that you think you are confident enough to face the hoards of demonic forces in the Nightmare difficulty. Whatever the impact of your first play through experience would define your zest and indicate your zeal for playing the game. Whichever it is, I only have one thing to say: "Good luck! May you enjoy the game for what the developers intended it to be... fun. And may you find riches in many ways... great time playing with your friends trying to best each other out... loot... more loot... great items... money for some... but overall, just a great experience playing the 3rd installment of a game 5 years in making for that greatness that the game developers had envisioned through all the hours they had invested making what could possibly be one of the greatest RPG game ever."

Anyway, I don't think it would be that significant if you're a pro or a newbie in playing the Diablo franchise because for Diablo III it will all come down to the same thing, you should be able to beat the Normal difficulty level of the game when you're character is around level 30. The only difference mainly would be the time invested in accomplishing the deed. For pros, it would be a cinch and an investment of a few days, but for newbies, it would be a grueling time crunching investment of a few weeks to months in some cases.

posted a message on Official "Last 4 Weeks Before Release" (28 Days To Go), Are You Ready To Face Diablo?
Counting the days to release... just 28 more days to go and it'll be long sleepless nights again in front of my computer.

I have pre-ordered the game from F.E.S. and I'll be first in line on the release day. Although I might not be playing on the midnight release (unless F.E.S. opens on midnight), I would still be playing quite early on the day of release (as early as F.E.S. decides to open), and you betcha I'm ready.
I got my MSI GT685R, my Logitech MX Revolution cordless laser mouse and my Logitech G330 gaming headset. I already theorycrafted my build using the Skill Calculator, and I have set myself on 1 particular build that is achievable when I reach level 54. I have already filed for a 4-day vacation leave... I think, I'm ready as I can be. lol!
Now, all that's left is for the game.

So how about you, what have you done? Do you think you're ready to face Diablo and his minions?

It may be for your ideal game play, but it doesn't mean it's your brother's ideal game play as well.
Good luck if he sticks to what you plan.

In my case, I'll be playing the Demon Hunter while my 2 brothers plays the Barbarian and the Witch Doctor...
and our sister's brother in law would either take the monk or the wizard for our party of 4.

posted a message on Question for Blizzard: Demon Hunter's Shadow Glide, How Does It Work???
    Quote from Scyldragon

    Troll?

Anyway, the wording is pretty clear, and the answer is no, it only increases movement speed.
I can read pretty well what it says. For those who doesn't know, increase in Attack Speed is proportional to the increase in firing speed.
That's why I'm asking Blizzard for clarification on this matter because Shadow Power as was discussed in the Demon Hunter video time stamped @ 2:32 - 2:47 increases the Demon Hunter's Attack Speed.

    Demon Hunter video:
Again before you comment, watch the video time stamped @ 2:32
where you can clearly see the increased speed while attacking
    and I quote:
"In dire times, she can embellish herself in Shadow Power. Increasing her movement and firing speed to such a degree that even the most resilient demonic opponents cannot escape her wrath."

Un-runed Shadow Power: Draw in the power of the shadows, gaining 20% of all damage done as Life for 3 seconds.
Runed as Night Bane: Gain an add'l. 4 Hatred/second while Shadow Power is active.
Runed as Blood Moon: Increases damage done as Life to 30%.
Runed as Well of Darkness: Decreases the Discipline cost to 12.
Runed as Gloom: Reduce incoming damage by 65% while Shadow Power is active.
Runed as Shadow Glide: Gain 40% bonus to movement speed while Shadow Power is active.

Now tell me, even if you read these over and over, I don't see anything about the increase in Attack Speed that supports the Blizzard claim of increased in "firing speed" in their Demon Hunter video, and I quote: "Increasing her movement and firing speed to such a degree..."
The only possible increase in speed to such a degree would be vouched by the Shadow Glide rune that gives 40% bonus to movement speed.
Again, did Blizzard made a mistake in their video or was it a grammatical error wherein the 40% gain in speed also increases the Demon Hunter's Attack Speed (a.k.a. her firing speed as stated in the video).

So for the smarties who commented above, maybe you don't know quack. Stop trolling.
Let the guys from Blizzard give a better explanation to shed the light and clarify this for me. Thanks!
