hmm thanks for the prompt replies. I have tried disabling my windows firewall but it still persisted. And also I have this error message as well; something about the Agent.exe which I have no idea how to deal with it lol:

As described above, I'm having problems installing the beta client. I keep having the error whereby once I accept the terms and conditions, it will bring me to the installation page and then a "A communication error occurred, please restart. If problem persists contact customer support" error message will pop up and I won't be able to download anything. I haven't seen anyone gotten this problem yet. I'm not part of beta but I'm just worried this is a system problem which might cause the same error when the full game is released. I have a windows xp sp pack 3.

Also, a notepad will also be generated after the error named "exception-failed" with the following message inside :
Exception handler died
Original exception:
0xC0000005 (ACCESS_VIOLATION) at 001B:7C9101B3
The instruction at "0x7C9101B3" referenced memory at "0x0052005A".
The memory could not be written.

Any idea if anyone has gotten this error and solved it? Thanks and peace!

hopefully I can get it! I've been stoning at home for months, not having a game to play whilst waiting for Diablo 3 to release.. finally something that I can actually play Save me!

thanks for the reply, but that's why I didn't read through the journal. I have no idea where he is starting from, jumping to King Leoric being mad, etc, is this lore the start of diablo 2? or halfway through diablo 1? =/

hey guys, just read through the forums and I saw the very complete Lore on Diablo 1 in the sticky thread http://www.diablofans.com/topic/1372-diablo-lore-and-chronology-of-events/

however, may I know where I can read on about the complete lore on Diablo 2? There are a couple of issues i'm quite confused with, such as marius etc. I did not play diablo 1 so it is harder for me to understand the complete connection, unless theres a lore of Diablo 2 as well. It would be easier for me to connect the one in the link above, and diablo 2's.
