posted a message on Yin and Yang New Farming Community (Finding a partner to farm set/legendary gear for your alternative characters)
Yin and Yang is formed to easily find a partner of a different class to farm and share loot. This is a community for people that has already geared out their main and is looking for set/legendary items for their alternative characters.

    How it works:
    1) In chat type "(Your Class) looking for (Any Class) to do T1-6 rifts."
    2) Swap loot and gear your alternative characters.

This community is mostly for the geared players. I will keep this community open for now until we can establish enough players to make it invite only. That way we can make sure that only geared people that are willing to swap gear joins.

I have kind-of a lame one, I salvaged a Skywarden (random Law every 60 seconds) because it rolled with no STR and no socket, without realizing I could've just rolled INT on it and given it to my Enchantress. I know it's more a novelty than a real loss, but I would've liked it for sure.
It doesn't work on a follower. So you didn't really lose anything.

I don't have time to rebuttal more posts, but what positive can you think of by this system?

The fact that most of the community LOVES it and it's rejuvenating players and bringing players back to the game?

The fact that if we put enough time in we can be free of MF on gear, therefore making it slightly easier to find ultra high-end gear (it's one less affix that MUST be on the piece).

The fact that I run around doing MF runs and every now and then I gain 3% MF, 3% GF and some stats? It's like a small bonus every now and then for doing stuff I was already planning on doing.

The fact that coupled with the class overhauls (people are now attempting to do what is FUN with their class instead of simply what is effective) and the legendary overhaul (people are now excited to see orange/green text), PLevels are just icing on the cake. People are having a lot of fun waiting for that loot explosion on a champion pack. Seeing their XP bar inch along only helps validate that for many people.

If you're hell bent on seeing the glass as half empty then you can never comprehend how it is half full at the same time.

I will rephrase the question a third time because apparently no one understand that I'm not talking about right now, I'm talking about expansion time. What positive do you see in long term from this system. The system right now is fun and gives a goal, but this system can also potentially push away new players.

I actually can not think of anything positive
So what do you guys think?

I think that's your problem right there. Constant negativity will eat at you like a cancer.

I don't have time to rebuttal more posts, but what positive can you think of by this system? The only positive is a temporary fix to bring back players. There isn't much except negative in long term planning. This system potentially can hurt future expansion packs. A system like this punish new players or can potentially punish existing players' hard work when expansion pack hits. I will go into more details later.

I just want to note that we're having this discussion to put a light on a potential issue. I personally find the paragon level fine, except I just foresee terrible consequences of it down the road. We want to plan long term for diablo 3 and not short term. It might be fun now, but can cause dire consequences later when the real fix is decided.

So I was thinking long term for this game. What do these paragon levels actually mean for the future of Diablo. When the expansion pack hits and the level caps raises. What will happen to these Paragon levels?

In my opinion, these paragon level is a temporary solution to bring back players into the Diablo 3 world. This was one of those bandage solution to a wound that needed stitches. If we think long term the paragon will either get wiped and everyone will rage during the expansion pack transition. Or they will persist and loot tables for the expansion will be changed to accommodate the 300% magic find as base. I actually can not think of anything positive that will come from these paragon level in the future. This was an half assed idea that they took from kripparrian. It was a good short term idea, but horrible long term idea.

So what do you guys think?

I'm tired of them dictating what is "fun" and what isn't "fun."
If I see another interview where a developers use the word "fun," I'm going to explode.

Majority of you won't even come close to the paragon cap to be complaining about the MF cap.

And even if you do, by that time you will most likely be in crazy gear before then so... still want to wear MF gear?

Yes, because it's nice to have crazy gear with magic find on them.

    This cap is utterly retarded.
    I'm speechless about this decision.

posted a message on Does 1.04 address resource usage???
    Quote from Zeel

    Quote from woodballs

Here is what I struggle with, and what I hope is addressed in 1.0.4:

The Smoke Screen nerf really upset me, but I can see how huge of an exploit it was. I've learned to adapt and play more evasively. I use Caltrops a lot more and clear/kite more thoroughly. However, the 1.5 seconds of Smoke Screen does not appear to be enough time for many mobs to drop aggro on me. In other words, I get chased, pop SS, and they continue to chase me. My latency is low, so maybe it has to do with the servers? Again, I'm no expert, but this is frustrating.

Another thing that truly is aggravating are the "Fast" mobs. Specifically, the mobs that are already fast to begin with are now lightning fast. Smoke Screen popped over and over with Preparation is still insufficient. Without a "tank", there is no way I can clear these mobs using my current gear. I know I could farm Act 1 over and over looking for gear bumps, or spend money on the AH, but the farming process is simply too taxing for someone as busy as I am. Maybe I'm not meant to progress past Act 2 Inferno! Alas!

I think my biggest complaint with the DH class at the moment is the resource cost of so many skills... I'm less inclined to use a skill if it costs half my resources. Maybe it's a mental thing? In other words, because of how much a DH has to move (kite) the mobs, I think I would rather have a lower dps/cost skill on my bar than a higher dps/cost one or one with a long cooldown.

Wow typcial DH talk just play end game as it should be played with some HP and ressi and that 1.5 secs of immortality will be more than enough for you, and if you dont want to go with how the game is designed at inferno just get 4P nats if you go glasscannon and you die all the time thats you thats the issue not the game. I think duration on smokescreen is just fine and in no way needs to be changed only thing that needs to be changed is the general mentality of the ppl who play the class.

The duration of the smokescreen is fine, but it's bugged. The spell initially was intended to drop aggro, but the time reduction hot fix created this problem where aggro doesn't drop. Also the spell cool down is longer than the initial spell, which wasn't the case before the hot fix. I'm sure we'll see these problems fix eventually. Even with 4pc nats problems like these doesn't disappear. So zeel you have no clue what you're talking about.

    @Rockmandoom
Cluster bomb cost is fine, but to make it work more efficiently you need grenadier passive and bat.
