I'm playing a barb first time, and playing through really slow, I want to make sure I check every possibly thing. I'm also probably gonna run every act twice before moving to the next so I don't fall behind in gear. I predict most people will have to run the game through nightmare at least 5-10 times to comfortably beat hell. It will be even harder to get to inferno. I don't want you to be able to just do normal>nightmare>hell>farm inferno all in one week. I want it to be HARD to progress to the next difficulty. You should have to do normal like 5 times before you're ready to do nightmare.

I hope that you're right. I'd hate to run right through hell on the first try. Now, I probably wouldn't mind crawling through hell at an extremely slow pace....

I plan on rolling a Monk first. He's pretty much always been my class of choice. My only worry is that he won't be able to take down big bosses as well as the Barbarian, but I guess we will see. The only boss we've seen, the Skeleton King, is easily kited by the wizard and demon hunter, and the dogs can keep him off of the witch doctor. The Monk just seems more fun the way he dances all around. I wish I could decide on a name though.

posted a message on Reason for Weapon Damage for Caster abilities
Everyone is thinking about this so one-sidedly. Logically it would seem that Blizzard will need to raise the damage on wands so that wizards can do more damage. After this happens, you'll have Barbarians running around with dual wands because of their high DPS. Now THAT will be entertaining!

posted a message on So. Cal ppl interested in Computer Building get together?
I just wanted to throw this out there and gauge interest. I live in Long Beach, CA, and am building a new computer for Diablo 3. I know of at least 1 other person who is doing the same. I plan to wait until at least 3-4 weeks before release date to build the computer because technology is constantly changing and going down in price. I want the best possible system for the lowest possible price!

    Here is my plan:

    1. Wait until Diablo 3 release date is announced
    2. Order all parts for new computer ~ 3-4 weeks before release date
    3. Host a small get together ~2 weeks before release date
    4. Build my computer at the get together with other Diablo 3 fanatics

This way we can all provide information/help to anyone who needs it. It would also be a good way to make friends/get to know other Diablo players in the area. Again, this is just an idea I have at the moment and I'm throwing it out there to see if others are interested (I'm not even sure how many So Cal ppl visit this forum).

    Thoughts?
