the whole hype and QA bullshit of the necro is a waste of time. It just comes down to which set does the most damage and may as well remove the other 80% of the necro's skills from the game. I haven't even looked at the necro skills, I have no idea what the class does, and yet I'll just go to the set notes and see "increases X damage by 1600%". great, now I know how to play the fucking class.
fuck this game

I'd be very pleased if Diablo III launches with MORE monsters than Diablo II + Lord of Destruction combined.

And to answer a question earlier about major mechanic changes in the beta phase, no, that does not happen. Beta means the game is complete (in theory). This phase exists to find unfound problems of any sort. Nothing between beta and release will change something that impacts the game play or mechanics (ie; how the game is played). Everything is just a tweak.
Here is a quick, generalized visual mockup of the relation of beta to release:
Also, it is likely that once the beta begins, we'll be playing on an older version than what Blizzard has internally. We may still be playing, for example, a version that has an incomplete user interface via either unfinished design or literal art content missing.

Hmmm... I like to tumble around and shoot crossbows. Sound familiar

Hunters in WoW had their ammo removed (finally). That should tell you Blizzard's stance towards ammo.

Most likely a copy of herself, as her predecessors did. Summoning a demon minion is ironic.

-I personally consider only permanent pets to be a "summon". Ie; a minion that has no timed duration, or, in the case Diablo III has anything like the necromancer revives from Diablo II, a minion that can continually remain up given user input and lasts longer than a few seconds.
-Is the Zombie skill trait going to boost summons effectiveness? Or does it only effect the Zombie "nukes" like zombie wall, etc?
-As far as pure summoner viability, it all depends on if Blizzard believes sitting back and letting your pets do all the work proves for a "fun" game play experience. Now, I can say for me that I would enjoy it because I love playing as a summoner in every RPG I can, but for the general population I would have to say no, Blizzard would not like that. In Diablo II, pure summoner didn't really "work" because your minions didn't do enough damage in hell, but the synergy playstyle with Corpse Explosion (which required player input) made it... work, in a sense.

It was good though, I liked the sound and the images were very high quality.

I hadn't viewed the beta like this up until this point. But hey, the good news is if they don't need the public that much for beta then the beta won't last very long, right
